Abdulhabib Mwanyemba (also spelled Abdulhabeeb Mwanyemba or Abdul Habib J Mwanyemba) is a Tanzanian politician and youth leader in the ruling party Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).

He currently serves as the Mwenyekiti wa UVCCM Mkoa wa Dodoma (Chairperson of the CCM Youth Wing / Umoja wa Vijana wa Chama Cha Mapinduzi for Dodoma Region).

Key Highlights

• In mid-2025 (around May–June), he announced his intention to run for Ubunge Jimbo la Dodoma Mjini (MP for Dodoma Urban constituency). He collected nomination forms (fomu) for CCM’s internal selection process (kura za maoni) and was among the early aspirants/shortlisted candidates. He actively campaigned, urging young people to step up for leadership roles and participate in politics.

• He did not secure the CCM ticket for the seat (the party nominated Fatuma Waziri, who went on to represent the constituency). As of early 2026, he continues in his role as Dodoma UVCCM regional chairperson.

• He is very active in grassroots mobilization: opening new party branches (e.g., in Kondoa and other wards), donating construction materials for party projects, leading CCM anniversary events (e.g., 49th birthday celebrations of CCM), mourning fallen youth leaders, and publicly defending the party against critics or “traitors” (wasaliti).

• He often speaks on youth empowerment, party loyalty, and urging young people to respect authority and join CCM structures.
