    Compass Direct News

NAIROBI, Kenya (CDN) - Two Christian evangelists in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, have been arrested after Muslims invited them to debate religion but instead called in security agents who charged the evangelists with illegal preaching.

Anglican evangelists Eleutery Kobelo and Cecil Simbaulanga, released on bail and facing a hearing, told Compass that Christian and Muslim groups organized the inter-faith debate that was planned for a neutral venue in October of last year in the Kariakoo area of Dar es Salaam.

Kobelo said no Muslims showed up at the debate until Islamists arrived with government security agents who charged them with "using religious sermons to incite Muslims and Christians into viewing each other with suspicion."

"This continuous intimidation by the Muslims using the police is worrying us," he said.

Every where any where in the World, Muslims are the source of troubles and conflicts, they claims to be oppressed. Example all top leaders in Tanzania, President, Vice Presedent, Minister of internal affairs, minister of finance, all Zanzibar leaders from Presedent to the ward secretary all are Muslims, but still they claims that they are suppressed by Christians, this is stupidity. I feel sorry that you are so blinded by hatred to see the missing link of this thread. Are we to believe that those evangelist were arrested while they were waiting for their hosts, the Muslims. Were they arrested just as they were standing idly.
Waswahili have a say " kukaanga mbuyu kuwaachia wenye meno watafune" Okay suffocate youself with hatred for nothing as your venom will serve nothing but to demonstate your stupidity rather than affect Islam or Muslims.

    Mkuu.
Sijui niseme ni bahati mbaya au? Sasa tuwafanye nini?

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

    Galatians 5:22

Our Lord Jesus faithfully rebuked His dear friends (Matt 16:23; Luke 9:55; John 21:17).

Rebuking a friend for sin is true love, which Moses had taught long before (Lev 19:17). Not correcting him is simple hatred. Charity cannot bear its object in sin (I Cor 13:6), as helping them live a holy life is the highest standard of love and friendship (I Sam 23:16).

Our Lord taught this rule (Matt 18:15); James taught it (James 5:19-20); Paul taught it (Gal 6:1-3); and Paul practiced it with Peter, whose fault was public (Gal 2:11-14).
