    Jamani natafuta ushauri kuhusu injini ya aina ya 2LT ambayo ipo kwenye magari aina ya Toyota Prado. Injini hii nahisi haifai kwa mazingira ya joto au tropical climate kwani huwa haichelewi kuchemka. Nahitaji ushauri kutoka kwa mtu/watu wenye uzoefu na kufanikiwa kupata ufumbuzi. Nimepata ushauri mbali mbali na sijaweza kufikia uamuzi wa kufanya nini. Wengine wameshauri nibadili injini hiyo niweke injini aina ya 3A ama 2A. Wengine wameshauri nifanyie marekebisho radiator.

    Nakushauri uweke Engine ya 1KZ. Cha ziada utakachohitaji ni Control box (ECU) na bell housing za 1KZ. Inabidi uwe na fundi mzuri wa umeme.

    Hiyo injini ya 1 KZ inauzwa shs. ngapi? Zinapatikana hapa Dar? Pamoja na ufundi total cost inaweza kuwa kiasi gani? Mafundi wazuri wapo wapi? Samahani maswali ni mengi lakini nina shida nahitaji kupata ufumbuzi.​

    Engine inagharimu shs 2.5mil. ECU ni kama shs 400,000. Bell housing nadhani ni shs 150,000. Fundi umeme si chini ya 100,000 na fundi wa kushusha od engine na kuweka huyo ni around 150,000.

    Nenda pale Ilala Shauri Moyo utapata engine na ECU. Ukikosa fundi mzuri wa umeme ni-PM nitakuelekeza. Hapa ndio kuna ugumu wenyewe la sivyo gari haitawaka na/au haitatembea.

    Injini za 2LT si mbaya sana kama watu wanavyosema,just imagine umenunua gari let say Prado au Surf halafu uongezee kama 3.5M kwa ajili ya kununua ingini nyingine ya 1KZ ya kubadilisha,ni ghalama kubwa!!!!,injini ya 2LT ni ingine ambayo driver anatakiwa awe na displine,Prado na Surf zinasafiri kwenda umbali mrefu kama magari mengine,but make sure tempreture gauge haiendi kwenye RED,kwa kumake sure maji kwenye radiator yapo,fan inafanya kazi.temp ikipanda mpaka Red umeua cylinder head.Mr wangu anatumia injini ya 2LT toka 2005 mpaka leo iko oda na mikoani anakwenda nayo kwa sana!!

    Elewa kuwa out of 3.5M utaiuza hiyo 2LT engine around 1.2m hivyo net effect ni 2.3m. Hii ni best option kulinganisha na kuagiza gari yenye 1KZ toka Japan. In fact, the cheaper way of having a 1KZ PRADO ni kuagiza yenye 2LT kisha uza hiyo engine na weka 1KZ. There's a huge difference on performance between 1KZ vis 2LT engine. Pakia watu 8 kwenye hiyo 2LT halafu washa kiyoyozi, utapitwa hata na Scania lori:) au utaishia kuchemsha engine. In fact engine hiyo model yake ni 2LT-E
    Labda kaka yetu anaendesha speed 80:)

    Mi nina experience ya kutosha kwa injini zote mbili yaaani 2LTE na 1KZ. 2LTE si mbaya kama wasemavyo ila ina usumbufu mara nyingi wa kuua turbo pamoja na cylinder head kwani ina tabia ya kuheat especialy kama hakuna modification ambayo ni kwaida kufanya kwa injini hizi. mzunguko wa maji (cooling system) si muhafaka kwa nchi zetu, cyliderhead ina matundu machache. simplest way I used kwenye gari yangu PRADO before I went and Change my engine to 1KZ ilikuwa ni kuhamisha mfuniko wa radiator kutoka kwenye wngine na kuweka kwenye radiator ili kuruhusu maji mengi yaingie kwenye engine. since then sijapata matatizo na hiyo engine till know iko kwenye daladala. fuel consumption ya 2LTE is good compared to 1KZ ingawaje zinatofautiana katika pooling. kubadilisha engine to 1KZ kinadharia inaonekana rahisi but kuna hiden cost nyingi sana kama ununuzi wa exhaust, mountings, gear box inategemea ila mara nying ratio inasumbua ukitumia gear boz ya zamani. Umeme na kadharika. unahitaji kama 5.7 Mil to finish a project properly.

    Nope. I did it and did not cost that much. Huna haja ya kubadilisha gear box. I think you wanted to say pulling instead of pooling. Anyway, ni uamuzi wa mtu kula kitu roho inapenda. 2LT-E sucks.

    Naomba nichangie thru experience, nakushauri achana na mawazo ya kubadili engine utaingia gharama kubwa mno... Tuna iyo gari ilipofika tukagundua iyo shida wakati wa kuisafirisha kuja ars tulipokuwa tunakaa wakati huo ilichemsha zaidi ya mara 5!

    Nilisema hili balaa gani tena..ushauri wa mtaani utaambiwa mwingi nafikiri mpk thermometer tulitoa! Badae Tuliipeleka dt dobie ars tuliambiwa wataalam, kweli wali deal na radiator tu! Kuna kitu waliongeza kuongeza mzunguko wa maji, mr wangu anajua zaid i can ask him for you ukiopt kudeal na radiator..

    Iam telling u..ina miaka 7! Inasafiri kila siku haijawai tokea iyo shida tena!! And is a very strong car to speak the truth..tulipata iyo shida ilipofika tu! Ukiipatia tu basi..kubadili engine ni kuanzisha maradhi mengine usiyoyajua yatayoambatana na kuibadilisha gari ilivokuwa and unnecessary coasts... Na kukimbia inakimbia pia vya kutosha tu.....

    Kwa kifupi 1KZ > 2 LT na 3 LT. Kwa hawa waharibifu (wengi wao wanajiita au wanaitwa mafundi Bongo) 1 KZ wanaipenda sababu haina complications za umeme, "wire ni mmoja tu".
    Kwa ushauri tafuta 3L bila ya T kama unataka

    Ushauri wako ndio mwisho wa mchezo ingawaje ni gharama KIDOGO. Nilibadilisha ya kwangu na ilinigharimu karibu 6.5m lakini gari iko safi kupita kiasi.

    ushauri wa ziada,do not expect a 6000 pounds car to be as fast as a 3000 pounds car provided they have the same engine.

    its a heavy piece of machine,expect them tiny cars to pass you up in a highway,otherwise get a car with a higher displacement engine.

    so the heavier the car the slower it will be unless it has a powerful engine.as its all about torque!

    Wanaoipenda sio hao "waharibifu" bali watumizi wa engine hizo. Kwa speed and acceleration. 1KZ is the best by far comparing to 2LT-E and 3L.

    All in all..to my side i can not concider points kuwa ikimbie sanaaa!! inadedepend iyo gari unatumia wapi??!! With these traffic jams in town??? Do u need 180kph speed??? Hel noo.. Na ukisafiri unataka 200kph?? I dont think u wanna kill uself.
    Sasa always pple when buying cars they will talk of kwenda kijijini..but how many times per yr do u go kijijin??? Hayo mahitaji yoote hii gari inakidhi....speed utaenda! Kijijini utafika may b hilo la speed200 iam not sure cause i never use nor reach those crazy speeds..so bare in mind that while making ya decisions..
