Its in public knowledge the secret behind Kenya's too much willingness to have the East Africa community functional today rather than tommorrow.
The only person who understands the trick Kenyan's are using is Tanzanian president--Jakaya Kikwete. After all,Kenyas economy is fourteen times that of Tanzania and 24 Times bigger than that of Uganda.
Infact some people say that Uganda's total annual budget is less that one which is Assigned to the Kenya Army. And its also in public knowledge that Kenya's Office of the president combined with that Internal security Ministry is slightly bigger than Tanzanian's National budget.
Do you know why Kenyan's are pushing so hard for the East Africa Intergration?
1.Man power.......jobs..man power.Kenya's University graduates are overqualified and University of Nairobi degrees are considered world class than those of University of Dar.
2.Uganda's oil.......Who doesnt know that Uganda is part of that ""small province of Kenya "economically? From banks,media,transport,education,manufacturing....Ugandan's lost to kenya long time ago.the only thing they are clinging to is Migingo Island
3.Tanzanian's are literarly lazy.......its in public domain in kenya that Generaly Swahili speakers are slow in doing things.......and for that reason....wait and see, once the East Afrcan becomes fully functional, every Tanzanian will have migrate and open account with Kenya Commercial Bank as it will the most available bank in Tanzania

Kikwete has seen this coming....infact he has been trying to tell tanzanian's to wake up coz Kenyan's are coming...i hope you saw him pleading on TV recently......the biggest problem he has is that he is not able to stop Kenya's superiority in the region. He is also a victim of kenya's modernisation.....its said he has an apartment in Nairobi, karen suburb and most of his children have to school in Kenya.

What should the Tanzanian do......Ask the Southern Sudan citizens.....they know how to handle kenyan's ...leave them to brainwash you and enlighten you on development...Be aggresive as Kenyan's

SOON,EVEN YOUR BREAD WILL BE LABELLED!!

    mHHH!

    Mambo sasa haya hapa!

Kama kuna watu ambao wanalazimisha tuingie huko iliwafaidike binafsi, we really have to go against this!

Most of what is in your post has truth in it. Mimi ni mtanzania, if you ask me to hire a Kenyan or a Tanzanian, for 100 reasons i will hire a Kenyan, tumevuruga chuo Kikuu cha dar es salaam, we are generally lazy na tuna uswahili sana.

But i think Kenyans now realize that our fears are founded. Kenya will swallow Tanzania. Tunajua kupiga domo sana lakini kazi hatufanyi. Having said this, ni lazima lakini mjue kuwa si watanzania wote ni wavivu, uneducated and alike, lakini am against this common market thing.

Well said mkuu, i do agree with you on the whole perspective. Nevertheless this is where my scepticism lies. Its those advantages that will arouse future problems. At the end of the day Tanzanian is for Tanzanians first, and not Kenyans. So whatever is decided is to benefit us first on our part and not Kenyans.

That is to say with all the problems we have, we need to find a solution first rather than give up on our people. Therefore the government needs to come up with ways to tackle the problems rather than leave it for the new EAC members to fill the void in our weakness. Because i dont see a bright future for our young adults, when masses of foreigners begin to flock in and pick up jobs, that were meant for Tanzanians.

It all seems like you have put it that, these people are more concerned with in their personal gains than that of a nation and its a sad chapter in our nation history.

Ha ha haaa... smatta, acha uoga, nakuonesha zile link ili uone kuwa you and i as african, we have a lot to do for the well being of eac and africa kwa ujumla. i'm feeling bad to see our people (majority) living in such horrible situation.

lakini kinachoniuma smatta, you dont think about your people, hicho ndicho kinacho nifanya tusielewane, that's what makes me fail to separate you from the problem. it makes me to regard you as adversary.

    Najiandaa kumjibu huyu bwana kayundi2.

    Wakuu,

I do agree with the notion that maybe by joining the community, tanzanians will loose some jobs lakini what kills me is that we are feaful of kenyans coming here when we have makaburu, chinese coming in droves here and opening all machinga shops all over kariakoo but i don't hear any complains.. when will we africans stops being so negative about our african brothers and instead focus on these leeches who come and suck our blood dry. do you those chinese machingas in kariakoo leave even a penny here in our country. No...they send the money back home and we remain with substandard products and trash...the picture i have i'm my mind is a tanzanian holed in his house looking at his front door and the kenyan knocking while behind the house these makaburuz are stealing the food in his kitchen....lets not be fearful...lets compete as that is the only way we can develop

    Kayundi2,

..Tanzanian elites dont send their kids to Kenyan schools anymore. they used to do that in the 80s, but these days they prefer to send them to school owned by church organizations within Tanzania.

..It doesnt matter how big Kenya's economy is as compared to her neighbors. everybody knows that in the next 5,10 or so, years most of the action will be in Tanzania.

..ardhi iko nyingi, minerals are being discovered every where, kuna market kubwa, bado hakuna big business cartels etc etc.

I beg to differ, wewe unachofanya ni kuwa-provoke wa Tanzania you just another anti-EAC
    1. Kwamba kenyans wants fill the gap...(labour) you have got your statistics wrong...there are also some of us who from Tanzania who finds kenya as good market to earn good money believ it a two way traffic...so usipende kujisifia ili muonekane mko superior than us..nyinyi (jaluo and kikuyu) hakuna kitu zaidi ya iwizi na greedy ..na kujisifia...polepole nenda sokoni kwenu tumeshaanza kuingia..sasa usitake ku-provoke watu for simple political gain..goal scoring...kwenye sustainable and long run economy mambo hayaendi hivyo ndugu..lol
    2. Laziness...uwiii another strerotype...does not work any longer...usitumie hiyo ukafikiri una score matter of fact utawaona vijana wa karikoo wako kenya..wengi baada ya muda mpaka mtazidi kuwazibiti subiri uone..sijui kuhusu mambo experts jobs..maana niko huko kwa wajasiriamali miaka mingi...wengine wanaweza kusema..lakini wabongo tunachukua market (small scale business) siyo kenya tu..malawi, zambia, kongo and kenya..sasa mjinyonge au muanze mungiki style kwasababu ni wepesi ku-burst akili ndogo
Huyu jamaa ni wa kupuuza..ni anti-EAC, halafu ni wale haters..why kwakuwa kenya hawana leaders wana kikundi cha thugs wezi wanaendesha serikali wanafikiri that is same with us NO NO usimuingiza president kwenye upuuzi wenu...

hivyo watanzania, tusifikirie kwa ufinyu kama walivyo wenyewe wa kny. kwa maana akili yao yote ni nairobi tu. ukiwaambia nchi yenu ipunguze pengo kati ya walio na wasio nacho. utasikia wanajibu, nairobi utasema london na wtu wako happy, but they forget that kenya is big, kuna watu wanaishi maisha magumu north eastern mpaka mimi machozi yalinilenga. lkn wao that is not a problem, utasikia smatta na nomasana wanaongea we are good biznes people, wakati wao ni wachuuzi tu, wanafanya biashara ambazo hazijasajiliwa na wala hawalipi kodi.

    MASLAHI YA TANZANIA DAIMA MBELE.

    Kayundi2,

Kwanza kabisa lemmie warn you against these inflammatory threads
that do nothing but inflate people's egos and shoulder rubbing.

That said, lemmie also debunk this flatulence that you are spewing on
us.
Acha niachie hapo.

Hio ishu ya kusema eti Rais Jakaya ana nyumba Karen you better
substantiate it with some concrete evidence/source otherwise ni
hadithi za kijiweni tu. Tukiulizwa maswali itabidi tueze kujibu eti.
I hope you understand the gravity/weight of this statement.

Hio ishu ya kusema Tz are literally lazy itabidi uimeze mwenyewe maana
its nothing but a patronising, chauvanistic and condencending statement.
Interesting that you say Swahili speakers are generally lazy. I wanna
insult you so bad for showing us your naivette or maybe ni ukabila wenu
hapo kwenu. Aloooo umesahau waswahili wamesambaa kutoka Kismayu,
Lamu hadi Vanga mitaa ya Kwale??????....THESE ARE KENYANS YOU
    MYOPIC SAD INDIVIDUAL
....you are insulting your own people ama
ndio kawaida yenu hio?...Is this attitude your fellow Kenyans want to
approach the federation? Take a step back and reflect for a minute.

Hio mikataba hata ikitiwa sahihi, the fight will be in the trenches and if
people dont carry themselves with respect and dignity at grassroot
levels then kazi ipo!Sito sema zaidi.

Meanwhile Migingo is firmly in the grip of M7 na usidanganye watu hapa
na hadithi za Abunwasi. Kichapo mnakula na Rais Kibaki anazidi kusinzia
Ikulu with a massive elite Kenya Army force sitting duck style in the
Barracks...or did somebody just whisper in my ear that it is a 'njaruo'
problem na watu ya 'nyumba' will not assist?
    The chasms over there are
so huge and they need to be fixed before venturing into these federations
that you guys are so much yearning for.

That said we are all East Africans na hebu tustaarabike.

    Regards.

P.S. Smatta u said you are on the sidelines.Nisikuone hapa :)

NO thank you

Jamani twendeni kenya tukawafundisha uungwana na biashara..na wateja wanapenda kununua kutoka kwa waswahili wa Dar es Salaam kwasababu ya trust..na security...huyo smatta na kayundi ni anti-EAC wameweza kununua tusker wanafikiri wanazo ...colonial mentality and egoism ndicho kinacho maliza taifa lao wala hawajajifunza ..lakini tunakazi ya kuwafundisha yes we can!

    Your showing your ignorance.

Your calling Tanzanians lazy. But you are the one pushing for EAC. Tanzanians don't need and don't care about EAC. Just a few politicians that are blind going for EAC.

You call them lazy, but you in your Kenya you don't own anything. your doing domestic jobs in your own country.

Kenyan Land belongs to a very few elite ( Kenyattas, Odingas, Mois),

The rest belongs to the Whites that kills you like flies and don't get punished.

Companies belongs to Asians. and Somalis are taking their share.

    What does Kenyans have ?

It looks like your the dumb and lazy. because you don't own anything in your country.
