HELP on Drupal site development

Hi there

I was in the middle of developing Drupal site and just ended up with following issues

1. I managed to upload .swf file and put it where it should, but it doesn't shown up on the page

2. I can do HTML coding only on front page (HOME) but couldn't do it on nodes, I actually codding but the output is not seen and just left un formatted text

If anyone knows how to work with it, please give me some help
I'm willing to give out some tip for juice & bites
