The US Department of Defense (DoD) is exploring the possibility of developing a large-scale network of AI-powered technology, drones, and autonomous systems to counter threats from China within the next two years.
The DoD is concerned about China's rapid military modernization, which includes the development of AI-powered weapons and systems. The US military believes that it needs to develop its own AI capabilities in order to stay ahead of China.
AI-powered systems can make decisions faster and more accurately than humans, and they can operate in environments that are too dangerous for humans. This could give the US military a significant advantage over its adversaries.
