The remaining piece of rail from the SGR mainline near the corner of Kilwa/Kilosa streets to Dar port is less than 3 km, if they will put double track to facilitate smooth movement of freight trains, then the maximum length won't exceed 6 km.

The issue has been exaggerated and blown out of proportion as if it is a national crisis while people on the field knows that it is just a minor extension.

IMHO this Work Package don't even deserve an international tender, it can easily be constructed by mafundi wa TRC wakisaidiwa na Engineers from TANROADS.

Kuna siku naona naona utabisha kwamba sgr si ya umeme kwa sababu anayejenga transmission line ni tanesco na si yapi merkezi.
Huyu jamaa kavu kweli. Sijui nani alimwambia kuwa hicho kipande kifupi ni sehemu ya mkataba wa Yapi! Yaani kwa mtazamo wake anadhani serikali ilitaka kujenga mradi ambao pamoja na malengo mengine ulilenga ku-unlock potential ya DSM port.

Kwamba ilikuwa ni lazima kwanza kutangaza tenda/plan ya hako kakipande kafupi ndipo tuendelee na mradi mzima. Furaha yake kujiaminisha kuwa anajua kuliko serikali yote ya Tz. Bongo bana.

Watanzania walipenda sana kuwa na reli ya kisasa ambayo itakua Classic na with all amenities.
Sasa zaidi ya kuwa ni SGR kwa maana ya uwezo wa kubeba weight ya mizigo zaidi Reli mpya itakua ni ya kawaida sana.
Hata TAZARA ilo jengwa miaka 40 sasa ukiondoa uchakavu basi Tazara reli bora zaidi kwa huduma kuliko hii SGR inayo jengwa katika kipindi hiki cha maendeleo makubwa duniani ya technologia
Huwezi kufanya project kubwa kama hii mawazo yakawa ya mtu mmoja ambaye anawaza imalize kabla ya uchaguzi ili itumike kama kiki ya kampeni. Hapo ndio tuliharibu project nzima.
Tulinunua ndege hivo hivo..hatimae zimekaa miaka miwili bila ya kutumika ipasavyo. Ni Hasara kwa taifa.
SGR ni ukweli kuna major oversight wakati wa kuingia mkataba na YAPI tuliisahau Bandari ya Dar es salaam.
Hata route ya SGR kuipeleka Mwanza nao kuna walakin. Ukiangalia nchi zinazotumia bandari sana Bandari ya Dar in terms ya mizigo ya kwanza ni Zambia ikifatiwa na DRC then Rwanda. Uganda ni ya Mwisho na kwao Mombasa ni karibu sana na rahisi.
Kama tulikua na lengo ku maximize Kupata mizigo ya nchi hizo basi tungelekeza reli hii huko.
Baada ya kina Ztto kupiga kelele ndio sasa ipo michoro kuwa itaenda Rwanda.
Walikataa kuipitisha Kigoma ambako ingeunganisha Rwanda , Burundi na DRC.

Kutokana na udogo wa eneo Main station na Uingiaji wa Njia za Juu za reli ni wa kubanaa banwa tu na hatarishi kwa abiria.
Kwa waliofika Tazara Main station pale Mandela road wataelewa nini ya umuhimu ya Main station ya reli kuwa kubwa na vipi Machina wakati ule wali angalia ukuaji wa idaidi ya watu kutaathiri huduma na kukidhi idadi ya watu na abiria.
Mpaka leo Tazara main station inatosha kuhimili ongezeko la watu.
Bado sijafahamu kama reli za umeme kama hizi zinageuza vipi ikifika pale station. Reli zamani ikifika locomotive inafunguliwa na na inaletwa ingine kutoka upande wa pili .
Metro train za umeme hazina mbele au nyuma ikifika mwisho inarudi reverse kama ndio mbele.
Sina uhakika na hizi tunayo jenga kama nayo mfumo wake ni sawa na metro trains au la.
Kwa ufupi main station ni padogo haikidhi haja ya abiria sasa hivi wala future.
Main station inatakiwa jengwe nje ya jiji kwenye nafasi ya kutosha.
Tumefanya haraka bila kufikiria mbele.

Hapa eneo la kurasini kilwa road kuna daraja la chuma ambalo ni jembamba. Kutokana na ujenzi wa Njia ya Mwendokasi phase II unao endelea kutoka mbagala hadi kurasini imebidi daraja hilo lina panuliwa lipite juu kwa ajili ya ma Bus ya DART.
