Binafsi naelewa kabisa kuwa sasa hivi sio tena wakati wa Ujamaa ambapo huduma hata ya usafiri wa baiskeli ulikuwa muhimu ktk barabara mbovu, nachoamini mimi ni kwamba dunia hii ni dunia ya baishara ambapo kila mhusika ni mshindani na ubora wa huduma ktk biashara ni kitu kinachotangulia kwanza..
Yes, long term plan has to be done... and I hope it is being done. But when you have some stranded passengers and your plane is grounded, na huna pesa za kununua mpya at the moment..... leasing some aircrafts at a reasonable cost while working on the long term plan is a very logical thing to do, as far as I am concerned. Maswali tu ni whether there is a wierd catch or not

Zaidi ya hapo mshikaji ktk dunia hii ya biashara na mashindano mtazamo wako ni mbaya na wala sintamshauri mtu. Airline is a big business na kama huna hela basi bora ukae pembeni kabisaaa yapo mashirika binafsi na hata ya kigeni yataweza kutupa usafiri lakini sio kuanza vibaya ukategemea ati hii ni short term kesho utanunua kilicho bora.. Utauza vipi kibaya ili uweze kukuza mtaji wako wa kununua hicho kizuri?..

Hii ndiyo niliyosema huko nyuma kuwa ni Vifaa ku- define your Business! badala ya Biashara ulokusudia ku -define vifaa utakavyohitaji. Ndio maana sisi wabongo siku zote tunalewa inapofikia swala la biashara za kimataifa maanake unafikiria kwanza upate gari kisha ndio uanze kufikiri utalifanyia kazi gani!.. badala ya kufikiria biashara ya usafiri kwanza kisha ni gari gani linalohitajika!.
Short term inayokubalika hapa ni UKUBWA wa shirika lenyewe.. yaani wameamua kuanza na ndege mbili 737 (brand new) kisha in the future (long term) watanunua nyingine zaidi na kubwa zaidi, kufungua matawi zaidi na hata usafiri wa nnchi zanje! lakini sio short term ya ku-lease ndege za kujishikiza tupate usafiri wa ndege kisha baadaye tutanunua ndege za maana!...
Sijui bado hujanipata ktk tafsiri hii!..
ATCL ilikuwa ikifanya vizuri miaka yote kama Tanesco kabla hatujaingia maswala ya wageni!.. Tukaviuza nje... na kama signature yako inavyosema. Ten years after tumekuja gundua kuwa tumevikwa mkenge!.. Leo, tumetokea na matatizo stranded in both ways wanaamua kutafuta njia za shortcut na sio short term!.. Hizo za waganga wa Mvua na sasa hivi ndege za kudodisha...
Kulikoni nitarudia kusema Biashara ndiyo hupanga vifaa!.. Huwezi kusema unafungua biashara kama hii kwa mtazamo wa short term in a sense kuwa Utajiendeleza baadaye na biashara hiyo hiyo!.. Hii ni akili mbaya sana ya kibiashara ndio maana nikakupa mfano wa mabaharia!..
Kuna tofauti kati ya long term kwa mantiki ya KUJISHIKIZA kwa mudakisha utafanya biashara nyingine (hapa unaweza kabisa kukodisha). Na long term kwa maana kuwa biashara hiyo ni ya kudumu.. basi hapa mshikaji sidhani kama kukodisha mali mbovu ni mwanzo mzuri. You want to compete in a business, swala la kuondoa lawama za watu kama lile la Mvua na Richmond ni ufinyu wa hao viongozi kufikiri kibiashara!..
Naamini kabisa ATCL wapo wasomi unless ndio hao - Limbukeni wafuga ng'ombe wa kizungu!...Kama waliweza kukaa na kuamua kuvunja mkataba basi wangekuwa na mawazo mazuri ya mwanzo mpya.

TWO out of the four planes the Air Tanzania Company Limited (ATCL) has ordered from Canada as part of its plans to serve more local and regional routes would be delivered next month, it was learnt yesterday.

The ATCL Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr David Mattaka, told the 'Sunday News' that the national flag carrier would receive two used Dash8Q 300 next month and two brand new Dash8 Q 400 before the end of next year, all paid for by the government.

Mr Mattaka said that the Dash8 Q300 valued at 16.2 million US dollars (about 20bn/-) have a capacity of 50 passengers each, while one Q400 type carries 74 passengers.

The CEO said that the Dash 8 Q300 would fly to Kigoma, Tabora Kilimanjaro to Mwanza and Dar es Salaam to Mtwara and Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar and termed the routes domestic short-range sectors.

He said that the short-range sectors, apart from the Kigoma and Tabora, were too expensive for the company because they were serviced by Boeing 737, instead of a smaller plane.

He explained that the ATCL would fly directly from Dar es Salaam to Comoro instead of Dar es Salaam-Mtwara-Comoro as the Dash 8 Q300 will take care of the Dar es Salaam-Mtwara sector.

Mr Mattaka said that the combination of the Dash 8 series ATCL would operate to Mbeya, Sumbawanga, Dodoma, Shinyanga, Bujumbura and Kigali.

He said that the national flag carrier would soon resume former ATC routes of Lusaka, Harare, Nairobi, Entebbe and Dubai.

Meanwhile, five engineers are currently in Canada, undergoing convention training on the Dash 8 series.

Eight pilots, three captains and five first officers would leave for Nairobi, Kenya next week to undergo ground training and thereafter to another country for convention on Dash 8 Q300.

In another development, the Minister for Infrastructure Development, Mr Andrew Chenge, said yesterday that the government was working on the financing of five Airbus A320 aircraft earmarked to serve international routes of Dubai, Hong Kong, China and India.

Serikali pamoja na agents zake ikiwa ni pamoja na parastatal org haziruhusiwi kununua magari used, and life span of a car ni 5yrs.

So bado ninawasiwasi kwamba hizo rumaz kwamba wamenunua gari za 10yrs or more in my knowledge siamini. tafuta govt procurement act.

Naamini kwa sasa kila mtu anaangalia na kufuatilia kwa karibu utendaji na kile kinahofanywa na ATCL si sidhani kama mafisadi wameshaanza kufanya mambo if yes, then take 2yrs ATCL itakuwa imekufa

Huwa naheshimu sana mchango wa mtu na kama ni mtaalam. naomba unifahamishe au utufahamishe wewe kama x Eng. Hizi ndege zina mapungufu gani? Na je IATA inayafahamu hayo mapungufu? Je kwa nini ziendelee kuwepo kwenye soko kama kuna mapungufu yamekuwa noticed na baadhi ya wanunuzi, Unaweza kutoa mifano halisi ya shirika walau moja iliyopata matatizo kwa kuwa na aina hiyo ya ndege? Je Tanzania tuliwahi kuwa na aina hiyo ya ndege? Kama una personal experience itakuwa bora zaidi ili tuweze kupiga kelele vizuri kwa ATCL.

Point niliyotaka kuiweka kuwa miaka 20 iliyopita mashirika ya ndege, vyuo vikuu vilikuwa ni moja ya alama za taifa. Mwananchi wa nchi yoyote ukiondoa marekani alijisikia vibaya kama nchi yake haina shirika la ndege, chuo kikuu, TV ya taifa, matangazo ya radio.

Sasa hivi vitu hivi sio alama ya taifa tena. Hivyo mashirika yasio ya kiserikali na watu binafsi wanaweza kuviendesha tena kwa ufanisi mkubwa.

Serikali za Mwinyi na Mkapa zilifanya jitihada kubwa na zenye maumivu kwa taifa kuuza mashirika ya umma. Na sioni sababu kwanini huyu JK anataka kuyarudisha. Katika nchi iliyojaa rushwa serikali ijiondoe katika mambo ya kufanya biashara UMACHINGA. Na kama kuna uwezekano wa shirika hili kuleta faida basi kwanini wasikope kutoka benki kama wajasirimali wengine.

Shirika hili la Serikali liliundwa, na vifaa kebe kebe, soko la kumwaga, likawashinda tuliowakabidhi kama ilivyokuwa kwa mashirika mengine. Tukaingia mkataba na Mbeki huku tumefunga macho na masikio (kama ilivyo kawaida yetu?), bila kujua kwamba Mbeki anataka kujenga Shirika lake kwa nguvu zote, ikiwa ni pamoja na kubomoa mengine kama ATC, ili litambe kuanzia Cape of Good Hope hadi Bahari ya Mediterani na zaidi. Sasa liko ICU baada ya Mbeki kutuonea huruma na kulirudisha kabla ya halijafa kabisa. Sasa linachota mabilioni hazina badala ya kuingiza kama faida kwa walipa kodi. Wakati huo huo, yapo mashirika binafsi yanaingiza fedha hazina kwa kodi zao. Sasa ya kujiuliza ni haya;
ATC ina faida gani kwangu kama Mtanzania?
Je hiyo faida ambayo inahisiwa kwamba inaweza kupatikana, inaweza kupatikana kwa njia nyingine, kama kwa kuwa na Shirika la Kitanzania lakini linaloendeshwa kwa misingi ya kampuni binafsi?
Kipi bora, kuwa na Kampuni tunayoiita ya Taifa/wananchi lakini inawapa hasara kila uchao, au kuwa na kampuni ya Kitanzania ambayo inawapa faida kwa kulipa kodi?

Mwana wa... anaposema Serikali ijiondoe kwenye umachinga ana maana hiyo, Serikali, hasa hizi za kwetu, haziwezi kufanya Biashara. Anaposema bora bangi .. inaeleweka.

Sina imani kwamba kweli litakuwa shirika linaloweza ku-compete. Inawezekana, lakini itakuwa maajabu, na mambo hayaendeshwi kwa kutegemea kutokea kwa maajabu!

SAS says to stop using Dash 8 Q400 after accidents

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) — Scandinavian airline SAS said Sunday it would stop using Dash 8 Q400 aircraft after a series of crash landings, the latest Saturday in Copenhagen.
The airline, which has 27 of the planes, had only recently resumed flights of the Q400 turboprops after it had been forced to ground its fleet following two crash landings last month in Lithuania and in Denmark.

The decision to discontinue use of the Q400 planes, built by Canada's Bombardier, came after a weekend board meeting. No one was seriously injured in any of the three crash landings, which all involved problems with landing gear. The planes are designed for regional services and carry up to 78 passengers.

"Confidence in the Q400 has diminished considerably and our customers are becoming increasingly doubtful about flying in this type of aircraft," said Chief Executive Mats Jansson in a statement. Deputy Chief Executive John Dueholm added that due to "repeated quality-related problems" there was a risk that use of the Dash 8 Q400 could damage the SAS brand.

"The aim is to replace traffic based on the Q400 by reallocating current aircraft in the SAS group's fleet and by means of leasing," the statement said. SAS spokesman Olof Rundgren said SAS had canceled 52 flights on Sunday and another 13 Monday, up from an earlier statement that 57 flights would be canceled over the two days.

Rundgren did not have further information beyond Monday.

Scandinavian aviation authorities Saturday also issued a new flight ban on all SAS's Q400 turboprops. SAS has said it would seek compensation of about 500 million Swedish crowns ($78.06 million) from Bombardier. Rundgren said the company was likely to have more information of the costs of Sunday's decision Monday.

Bombardier said it was cooperating fully with SAS and the investigating aviation authorities and had sent a product safety and technical team to the Copenhagen site. In a statement later Sunday, Bombardier said it was disappointed with the SAS decision to permanently ground the Q400s, given that Saturday's incident was still under investigation by Danish authorities.

The company said in its assessment of the situation it had not identified a systemic landing gear issue. It also said that it had completed a review of the Q400 landing gear system and the results confirmed its safe design and operational integrity.

Rundgren said SAS will continue to use its 17 Dash 8 Q100 and 10 Q300 planes.

Ni aibu kufail kwenye kila kitu, poa tu wakiiwezesha ili isimame upya maana tunateseka kupanda precission. Issue ni nia na uhuru wa shirika kujiendesha kibiashara isije ikawa serikali inapitisha sera za maofisa wake kusafiri bure.
