Tyrant Baby Doc Duvalier faces corruption charges after shock return to Haiti
TYRANT Jean-Claude Baby Doc Duvalier was hauled off to court in Haiti yesterday.
And last night it was revealed he is facing charges of corruption and theft over his evil regime.
The deposed dictator was nabbed within 48 hours of returning to the country after 25 years in exile.
A posse of police led the once-feared 59-year-old from his Port au Prince hotel to a waiting SUV.
Dozens of officers, some in riot gear, were posted in and around the building as Duvalier was escorted through jeering crowds.
A police convoy took him to a local courthouse despite his supporters trying to block their path with dustbins and rocks.

His companion, Veronique Roy, denied he had been arrested.
Duvalier was removed from the hotel after a private meeting with senior judicial officials.
Human rights groups have been demanding action since his surprise return from France on Sunday.
Duvalier began his murderous rule after the death of his equally ruthless father Papa Doc Francois in 1971. He was booted out in 1986.
Henry Sterlin, one of Duvaliers ex-ambassadors, was shocked by the arrest. He added: Lets see if they put him in prison.
