Smartphone below $40

It might still take a little time before cheap (really cheap) smartphones comes to Tanzania but an alliance headed by Qualcomhas launched a new OS system that will compete with Android and Apple.

It is based on HTML5 and should lower the prices for phones as the OS has very modest requirements for the specifications of the device it is running on. You can read more here: Android4Africa
