Police in Nairobi on Monday began investigating an incident in which Prime Minister Raila Odinga's firm, the East Africa Spectre Limited was vandalised by unknown persons and properties worth Sh5 million stolen.
Mr Caleb Radido, the chief security officer said the firm lost 266 gas cylinders (13kgs) and 431 gas cylinders (6kgs).
Mr Radido also noted that vehicles at the parking yard were vandalised.
"The premise has been deserted and the two security guards have been missing since the incident occured," he said.
However, Makadara Division CID boss Zack Nangulu told Nation that they are suspecting the robbery was an inside job.
Gas cylinders are usually hotcakes in kenya. They are mostly targets by illegal refillers as they have no access to buying them since most petroleum marketers don't sell. They rob petrol station almost every day.
This could have been the target.
