Agape Aids Control Programme (AACP) is a local Non-Governmental Organization with her head offices in Shinyanga Municipal in Shinyanga Region and it is undertaking different programs among others been provision of legal aid services to vulnerable groups, prevention of GBV and early marriages, Child and youth protection. In early January, 2014 Agape has secured funding for two years (2014-2015) from Terre Des Hommes Netherlands supported by Dutch Government to implement a child protection programme of “Stop Child Marriages Project in Kishapu and Shinyanga Rural Districts”. Indeed, the beneficiary of this project is a child who is a victim of child marriage and children at risk of child marriage and in need of prevention and protection from child marriage through education support, adolescent support groups, vocational training, temporary shelter and child protection system strengthening through child protection teams (Ward-District level), paralegals and school committees’ project support.
Currently, Agape is looking for qualified and goal oriented candidates to form part of the strong and motivated project team by filling the following posts.
1. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E)
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Execute the Project Monitoring and Evaluation system/strategy
· Collect data, analyze and ensure documentation of all best practices on the project
· Develop and share monthly, quarterly and half yearly Monitoring Reports and reports to the Project Coordinator and Director
· Serve as technical advisor to the Project team especially in adherence to the key project management tool (Logical Frame work)
· Design and share field monitoring tools for data collection and documentations with project team
· Take active part in the planning, implementation, review and reporting process
· Comply with the Organization Child protection Policy, Gender policy, Statement of Commitment to child protection and adherence to Tanzanian laws and that of our partners (Terre Des Hommes Netherlands and Dutch Government)
· Maintain and promote good image of the organization with its associates, including donors, clients, partners and Local Government Authorities
· Conduct Field Works, community mobilization, facilitation and trainings
· And any other roles/responsibilities as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor


2. Assistant Programme Accountant (APA)
Roles and Responsibilities
· Execute Organization financial management manual
· Assist the Programme Accountant in preparing and formulating accounting and financial plans, financial reports, bank reconciliations, Cash books, analysis book and other financial statements
· Play an important role with cash petty account management
· To prepare annual accounts
· To prepare payment vouchers for approval process
· To receive and keep in proper custody all bills, invoices and other claims pending for payment
· To compile statistics and various returns for public use such as Tanzania Revenue Authority
· To prepare and maintain records of all purchased materials
· To control financial accounts of the Organization
· Reports to the Programme Accountant, the Coordinator and Director
· Conduct field works and verifications
· Understand, verify and report field activities on weekly bases
· Collaborate with the Programme Accountant to share financial information with the Coordinator and Director of Agape
· Prepare and Update the system on the daily financial operations
· Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
· Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options
· Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, and other reports
· Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
· Maintains financial security by following internal controls
· Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
· And any other similar duties as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
