Nairobi: Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i is expected to release results for the 2016 KCPE examination today at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development.

The ceremony will be held at 11.30am.

This is a clear break from tradition for the results which are usually released at the end of December.

Matiang’i has been on a mission to change how national examinations in Kenya are conducted; this year’s KCPE and KCSE examinations were completed earlier than usual.

The candidates who sat the 2016 KCPE exams will join secondary school in the first month of 2017, a change from the usual February entry.

He has also made history by releasing the most credible results since independence. His style is encouraging and if all Cs.s can work like that, then Kenya we can achieve what many never expected. To make things sweet, no pupil's results were canceled, unless the pupil did not write the name or the code correctly.
 
He has proved it's possible..... The war against corruption can be fought and won.
 

If Michuki, May his soul R.I.E.P..... Was also alive that would have made the two of them.Kilonzo too showed brilliance.

The cartels can be dealt with if only we had more Kenyans like this.

When there is no corruption everyone thrives, all candidates got their genuine marks. Those that want to continue with their academic path will go on to the schools they deserve those that will exploit their talents know academics is not their cup of tea. All the best to the class of 2016

Nipenda hii ya walimu wasio waminifu ku text majibu ya mtihani kwa vijana wa Joseph Ole Nkaissery ambao awali waliwanyanganya wanafunzi simu.We must give credit where credit is due. Hongera Matiangi.
 

But I also noticed something else, the whole nation rallied behind Matiangi, even the media. Everybody gave him support and wished him success in his efforts. People were so ready to raise alarm everywhere, this is what we all need to change into...
