So how does that make me not an owner of a car? lol. I import my cars from Kenya, not Tz idiot. Yes, we import more vehicles than Tanzania because we have a bigger economy. Import and export bills (It's called Balance of Trade fool. Please read a book) don't determine how strong an economy is. Some contries are export oriented others are import oriented. Countries that rely on tourism and services for instance are mostly import oriented while others that are into manufacturing like Japan or are having their minerals exploited by richer economies like Tanzania may export more than they import. Until Tanzania starts making their own cars never brag about importing less cars. You sound like a fool.Rudia mwenyewe usome ulicho andika kama sio 20yrs. Hiyo link inayoonyesha hakuna rule Tanzania inaruhusu 20yrs car kuingia Tanzania. So as usual, you lied. Kenya import magari mengi kuliko Tanzania, and your point here is..??? Kama mgejali import bill inayozidi export bill, msingesema haya maneno.
Kenya is not an import oriented country, usijidanganye, your importing more than you export because of bad policies brought to you na walafi. Nchi zinazo import more than export sio masikini kama Kenya. The worse thing you can do to a man is to push him into unaffordable debts, ni sawa na kumuwekea kamba shingoni. So how does that make me not an owner of a car? lol. Tinkering with the economy like a drunkard tinkers with his keys trying to see which one will open the door after his daily drunken stupor. Last year the same drunkard ignored the advice of Economists and Implimented Rate Caps. After fvcking up the financial sector he is now repealing the act.. Why do we have to be this Juakali with economic policy? In the old days Kenya used to Assemble 22, 000 new vehicles every year! Inflation now is at 8%, back then it was still similar. What changed is the shilling exchange rate, back then it was $1 = 52 ksh.....
Its a catch 22 we have, apart from power cost, vehicle manufactureres dont want to set up manufacturing plants bcause of cheap quality 2nd hands flooding the market , on the other hand on the other hand car owners find 2nd hand cars afordable And bcoz of it, Kenya remains the same interms of manufacturing. ... if we can manage to attrack car manufacturing plants by banning/reducing importatio of 2nd hand then that will be really good.... if it doesnt play out, we can revert back to 8 years,
So bring back the old Days .
The argument was not on whether rate cap or not but whether it should be done through parliament rather than through the Central BankTinkering with the economy like a drunkard tinkers with his keys trying to see which one will open the door after his daily drunken stupor. Magu hawezi wachia mawaziri wafungue vitu kama hizi. The government will formulate a policy to further limit the importation of second hand vehicles in order to allow domestic assemblers to compete more effectively in an effort to support local industry. Speaking at the official opening of spare parts manufacturing plant by Autosprings East Africa, the Cabinet Secretary of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Adan Mohamed says they will engage motor vehicle stakeholders as they seek to impose age limits on second-hand vehicle imports.
Good move this will create more jobs as more vehicle manufacturers will set camp in Kenya and the product quality will also improve.
Muelezee.......yeye akili yake finyu hajielewi. In the old days Kenya used to Assemble 22, 000 new vehicles every year! Inflation now is at 8%, back then it was still similar. What changed is the shilling exchange rate, back then it was $1 = 52 ksh.....

Nchi zingine ambazo zinafursa kama kenya ni pamoja na South Africa, New Zealand Australia hata Canada. GDP za huko zinajieleza zenyewe.Uchumi wenu upo mikononi mwa wahindi na Waarabu.
