For nearly two decades, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has been one of Kenya’s most influential political parties. From its landslide performance in the 2007 General Election to its central role in opposition politics under the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) and later the National Super Alliance (NASA), ODM has shaped national discourse on governance, devolution, and electoral reform.

But in 2026, a pressing question is circulating in political corridors and online spaces alike: Is ODM a dead party?
