Heavy afternoon rain has flooded Hoima Road at the Rubigi swamp between Nansana and Namungoona, causing major traffic congestion for motorists and commuters heading towards Hoima and Nabweru.
As water levels rise, local washing bay workers have turned the situation into an opportunity, carrying stranded travellers across the flooded section for between Shs1,000 and Shs2,000 per person.
