Ngāti Rangi is a Māori iwi (tribe) of New Zealand, whose tribal district is mainly around Ohakune and the Upper Whanganui River in the central North Island. Ngāti Rangi trace their ancestry to the chief Paerangi. They believe they were in New Zealand before the main migration of Māori to the country.
