Why Magufuli administration misses the point on Government splurge

After claiming we shall not turn back like Biblical Ruth who was reduced unto salt pillar we succumbed in 1979 with ERP I under the auspices of IMF of all institutions!

The ironies are so many to fathom.

1979 was a year we went to war with Uganda for all the wrong reasons

We claimed our sovereignty was under military attack but later we learnt a bitter truth

We instigated the war after learning Iddi Amin Dada had bled the Ugandan economy white and he was military eunuch despite heavily mechanized army.

But the real reason was not about decimated Uganda economy or getting rid of a brutal dictator but seeking means to restore a friend in need one Milton Obote who Nyerere believed would be a key player in neutralizing Jomo Kenyatta who regarded us as the Soviet Union communists sympathizers and behind the slow pace of an east African federation.

After depleting our own meagre resources in a foolish battle with Uganda and the coronation of Obote turn sour following ethnic cleansing it was clear even neo colonialists who viewed our ujamaa experiment with suppressed grimaced developed donor fatigue.

Nyerere had to eat a humble pie and call it a day amid riding lowest wave of support

His successors edified him as a father of the nation but never bothered to explain the process behind his promotion unto a deity image!

His massive political and economic mismanagement were papered over by outrageous lies he united the nation despite over hundred tribes

Nyerere himself was more self efficacious and less of braggadocio when it comes to the reasons behind our unity and peace

He attributed it to the fear of the consequences of war after Majimaji and Kiswahili as unifiers

Even during the struggles to independence from British colonial Nyerere was forced to reassure war traumatized supporters TANU's strategy included no a war chest but mere logic and reasoning manifested in a word of mouth.

the only similaralities btn magufuli and nyerere both come from ccm party.
nyerere was wise man while magufuli he lack wise ,many times he use abusive language in his speech .

Rowing back to JPM whom we have already ruled as a poor copycat of Nyerere we see lack of understanding yo credible paths to industrialization

Beyond a long list of incredible wants which include shipping to the western world used items there is almost nothing to suggest he gets it at all

Local initiative remains lukewarm partially because the tax incentives are not appealing enough and the bureaucratic inertia is still in force

JPM has been a one man showmanship as his regular broadsides are anything to go with it.

True but there are similarity in policy approaches though JPM is a very poor copycat of Nyerere as I have just dilated and continues to here.
