I learnt some new keyboard shortcuts as I was browsing the net today. Here are some of them, guys any one who knows any more shortcuts he /she can comment here. This is for the better of every one so as to help ourselves save time when using the PC.
Windows key + v. After enabling it, it brings up the clipboard to paste. So, instead of having to use ctrl+v to paste the last thing you copied, you can select whatever you recently copied from a list.
Windows key +shift+S let's you screenshot with a cropping tool.
Shift-Ctrl-T will reopen your most recently closed tab in most (or possibly all) browsers
F2 to rename a file, F12 for Save As and Shift + Del to delete a file permanently without moving it to the Recycle bin first. Be careful with the last one.
WindowsKey+L - before walking away, important for the security of your work.
Shift + F3 will cycle hi-lighted text from sentence case (first letter of first word capitalized), all uppercase, and then back to lowercase.
Windows+D: minimizes/maximizes all open windows/programs.
Useful if you have something up on screen and someone came home early.
Windows+arrow key: Moves active window/program to another display, scales, minimizes, partitions display of said window or program (really useful when using arrays, VKB's, KVM's, and multiple browsers).
Ctrl+shift+ESC: Straight to task manager.
Ctrl+T: Opens a new tab on most browsers.
Ctrl+W: Closes most recently opened tab on most browsers. (Good way to kill redirects too if you're not using a pop-up blocker)
Ctrl + backspace:instead of regular backspace, it deletes a full word - genuinely use it more than regular backspace tbh
Alt+F4:Closes all Apps and shuts down the PC. When used in a browser it closes all the tabs, Is used in a windows app it closes the app.
WIN + arrow keys will move whatever you have opened. So let’s say you have a PDF open. You hit win + right arrow and it’ll put that PDF half screen on the right. Then you can put something else on the left.
Windows key+D: minimizes every open window, doing it when everything is minimised will maximise them.
Good for when you need to just get back to your desktop.
Ctrl+Shift N: for when you accidentally close that other browser window with all your important tabs.
Any .com website. Type the name then Ctrl+Enter.
