Hii inatokana na mtindo uliopo wa KUAMINI mafundi bila kujishughulisha kujua gari lako mtengenezaji wake amerecommend kuwa linahitaji nini.Mfano ni magari mengi madogo kila yaendapo service huwekwa oil no 40 bila kujali namba 40 ya toleo gani kwani matoleo yapo kulingana na Model ya gari na Mwaka ilipotengenezwa
Oil huzalishwa kwa viwango na ubora mbalimbali mbali hivyo ili gari yako idumu na iperform vizuri ni vema kujua inahitaji vilainishi gani
Viwango hivi hupangwa na kusimamiwa na taasisi mbalimbali kama ifuatavyo:

API yaani American Petoleum Institute.Mfano Oil yenye API grade 40 kwa magari ya Petrol(service) inaweza kuwa toleo la SC,SL,SH,SG,SM au SN kulingana na mwaka wa toleo lake na kwa Magari ya Diesel(Commercial) Oil hiyohiyo ikawa na grades kama CC,CD,CF,CG,CH,CI nk

DOT yaani Department Of Transport hawa husimamia viwango vya mafuta ya brake kama DOT 3 au DOT 4.mifuniko yote ya sehemu ya kuwekea mafuta ya brake huwa imeandikwa maelezo kuwa "USE ONLY DOT..."kwa gari hiyo.unapoweka DOT tofauti ndo mwanzo wa breki kufail na pia kukata rubber za brake cylinder etc

NGLI Yaani National Grease & Lubricants Institute wao husimamia viwang vya grease kutokana na wapi inatumika kama gears au Wheel Bearing etc

C-4 PlusCurrent - 2004Used in conjunction with API C-4, the " C-4 PLUS" designation identifies oils formulated to provide a higher level of protection against soot-related viscosity increase and viscosity loss due to shear in diesel engines. Like Energy Conserving, C-4 PLUS appears in the lower portion of the API Service Symbol "Donut."
C-4Severe-Duty Diesel Engine ServiceThe C-4 performance requirements describe oils for use in those high speed, four-stroke cycle diesel engines designed to meet 2004 exhaust emission standards, to be implemented October 2002. These oils are compounded for use in all applications with diesel fuels ranging in sulfur content up to 0.05% by weight. These oils are especially effective at sustaining engine durability where Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) and other exhaust emission componentry may be used. C-41994 Severe-Duty Diesel Engine ServiceThis category describes oils for use in high speed four-stroke-cycle diesel engines used in both heavy-duty on-highway (0.05% wt sulfur fuel) and off-highway (less than 0.5% wt sulfur fuel) applications. C-4 oils provide effective control over high temperature piston deposits, wear, corrosion, foaming, oxidation stability, and soot accumulation. These oils are specially effective in engines designed to meet 1994 exhaust emission standards and may also be used in engines requiring API Service Categories CD, CE, and CF-4. CF-2ObsoleteService typical of two-stroke cycle diesel engines requiring highly effective control over cylinder and ring-face scuffing and deposits. These oils do not necessarily meet the requirements of API CF or CF-4 unless they pass the test requirements for these categories.
CFIndirect-Injected Diesel Engine ServiceService typical of indirect-injection diesel engines and other diesel engines that use a broad range of fuel types, including those using fuel with high sulfur content; for example, over 0.5% wt. Effective control of piston deposits, wear and copper-containing bearing corrosion is essential for these engines, which may be naturally aspirated, turbocharged or supercharged. Oils designated for this service have been in existence since 1994 and may be used when API Service Category CD is recommended.
CF-41990 Diesel Engine ServiceService typical of high speed, four-stroke cycle diesel engines. API CF-4 oils exceed the requirements for the API CE category, providing improved control of oil consumption and piston deposits. These oils should be used in place of API CE oils. They are particularly suited for on-highway, heavy-duty truck applications. When combined with the appropriate S category, they can also be used in gasoline and diesel powered personal vehicles i.e., passenger cars, light trucks and vans when recommended by the vehicle or engine manufacturer.

Mkuu, ahsante kwa maelezo. Hiyo oil ya Zinol naweza kuitumia kwa Rav 4 ya mwaka 2003? Lita 5 bei gani?

yes mkuu Mwanakwaya inawezekana.hiyo gari inaweza kutumia oil aina mbili tofauti yaani multi grade na synthetic kutokana na mapendezeo yako na ushauri wa TOYOTA ingefaa itumie API ya SL
bei ni kuanzia 8,000 to 12,000 tsh per litre

FF pia angali kwenye boneti ya gari yako huwa wameandika aina gani oil itumike. Kila injini huwa ina aina yake ya uzito wa oil (viscocity) na kwa wakati gani. Mfano katika nchi za baridi oil lazima iwe nyepesi wakati wa kuwasha gari asubuhi (cold start) . Oil inayofaa ni 5 W 30, hii ni kwasababu oil nyepesi itaweza kupanda juu haraka kwenye injini ili ipunguze msuguano wa vyuma.

Ukiangalia katika picha (hilo galoni la damu ya mzee) utaona maandishi 20 W 50. Hii inamaanisha wakati injini ya baridi, uzito wa oil (the W in 20 W 50) huwa 20. Injini inapopata moto, uzito wa oil unaongezeka kuwa 50. Sasa kwa Dar ambapo kunajotoridi la juu ni vizuri kutumia 10 w 30 synthetic kwasabau teyari joto la nje linakuwa liko juu kidogo kukaribia lile linalotakiwa kuendesha injini (operating temperature).

Jaribu kununua oil na kichujio chake halafu uwape mafundi wakuwekee la sivyo watakuchanganyia madudu na kukuharibia usafiri wako.

Mbele ya 20W50 utaona kuna maandishi mengine ambayo ni muhimu kukiindicate matumizi kwa gari ya Diesel au Petrol-kumbuka watu wengi hawajui hili kuwa kila oil itafanya kazi kwa gari zote yaani diesel na petrol ila kwa perfomance tofauti kama hizo herufi mbele ya API specification.kama dumu hilo la damu ya mzee limeandikwa 20W50 API SL/CF ikimaanisha kwa gari ya petrol itaperfom kiwango cha SL na Oil hiyohiyo ukiiweka kwenye gari ya diesel itaperform kiwango cha CF.hapo ndo kwenyekigezo muhimu na tofauti kubwa kwani zipo 20W50 zipo nyingi za madaraja au tofauti hivyo nfipo umuhimu wa kujua gari lako ni toleo la mwaka upi ili utumie 20W50 ipi kama chart inavyoelekezza hapo juu...hizi lugha za kuwa hii oil ni ya petrol na hii ni ya diesel ni lugha za kibiashara tu
