The University of Dodoma invites applications from suitably qualified Tanzanians and expatriates (under local terms) to fill the following academic positions.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

1. Tutorial Assistants

This is a training post. Applicants must possess at least a Bachelors degree with a GPA of 3.8 and above and for unclassified degrees, overall average of B grade or above.

2. Assistant Lecturers

Applicants must be holders of undergraduate degree with over all GPA of 3.8 or above and a B+ average in their Masters Degree

3. Lecturers

Applicants must be holders of a PhD plus Maters and/or Bachelor degree with appropriate GPA OR Masters degree from a recognized University with teaching, research and consultancy experience of at least 3 years.

4. Senior Lecturers, Associate Professors and Professors
Applicants must be holders of a PhD from a recognized University with teaching, research and consultancy experience of at least 5 Years for Professors, Associate Professors, and 3 years for Senior Lecturers.

DUTIES

Successful candidates for all the positions will be expected to:
(i) Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students
(ii) Conduct research and publish in their fields of specialization
(iii) Conduct seminars
(iv) Provide consultancy and public services in their fields of specialization
(v) Attend any other duties as may be assigned by the respective Heads of Department/Other University Organs

Remuneration

Attractive remuneration packages will be offered to successful candidates in accordance with Government Circular from the Treasury Registrar and other terms and conditions applicable to the Public Service.

Thanks for your observation, I was still wondering. Wakati wengine wanaenda mbele sie tunarudi nyuma.
Who needs those programme in the university? Na hivi vyuo vinavyoibuka kama uyoga vya Veta type si ndo wangefundisha hizo kozi huku mitaani? Why university?
 
Tabu hapo kwenye Doctor of medicine,hiyo GPA ya 3.8 waliomaliza Muhimbili watayasikiaga hayo manafasi.


Nawashauri wanaopenda kuapply esp kwa upande wa medicine hata wasipoteze muda. Watu walishaitwa mwezi wa tisa wakafanya interview kimya kimya na wameshapewa mikataba. Waliokuwa karibu na Dr. Gesase ndio walipata taarifa hizo. Hii inazidi kudhihirisha kuwa hapa bongo kazi mpaka itangazwe wanakuwa wameshapata mtu/watu wanayemtaka. Sijui kwa field nyingine

Nimefuatilia suala hili hadi huko UDOM. Nilikuwa na maswali yafuatayo

Swali la kwanza: GPA za 3.8 kwa madaktari inawezekana kuwapata au ndo tunajijengea uhalali wa kuajiri wageni?

Jibu: Wenye non classified degree kama Medicine na madaktari wa wanyama wanatakiwa kuwa na wastani wa B.

Swali la pili: Ni kweli interview za hawa mlishafanya na hii ni danganya toto?

Jibu: Kuna interview zilizofanywa ili kupata walimu wachache kwa ajili ya kupokea wanafunzi wa fani hiyo. Hizi ni nafasi zilizoachwa wazi na wanataaluma walioacha kazi katika fani nyingine. Chuo kimeamua kujaza nafasi hizo kwa walimu wa medicine. Nafasi hizi zinazotangazwa ni ajira mpya kabisa na watu wanaweza kuendelea kuomba na wenye sifa wataajiriwa

Swali la tatu: Mishahara je?

Jibu: Mishahara ya wanataaluma wa vyuo vikuu vya umma ni sawa. Ila kama anayeajiriwa si raia wa Tanzania anapata expatriate allowance ambayo ni sawa na asilimia 50 ya mshahara stahiki. nayo inatozwa kodi.

Swali la nne: Na hizi digrii za kichina, kiarabu, nk za nini ? Na walimu wanatoka wapi?

Jibu: Lugha ni kiungo muhimu katika jamii si kweli kwamba nchi haihitaji wataalamu wa lugha za kigeni katika ngazi za digrii. Kama hujui lugha ya mwenzio hata kudaganywa ni rahisi. Baadhi ya vyuo Ulaya na Marekani wanafundisha lugha za kigeni kwanini iwe dhambi kwa UDOM? Hata hivyo hakuna mtanzania anayelazimishwa kusomea fani asiyoitaka. Kuhusu walimu kuna Watanzania wanaofundisha lugha hizo na wageni wachache ambao wanakuja UDOM kwa kujitolea na wanafadhiliwa na nchi zao.


Niliamua kulifuatilia suala hili kwa sababu UDOM ina maslahi makubwa kwa nchi hii. Vijana wengi ambao bila UDOM wangekuwa vijiweni hivi sasa wamesharipoti na kuanza masomo.


Kuhusu masomo ya lugha, kuna watanzania wengi nje ya nchi wanasomesha Kiswahili. Wakijua Kiswahili na Kichina, Kikorea, au Kijapani watakaobahatika kwenda China, Korea au Japan kufundisha Kiswahili watakuwa waalimu wazuri sana.

Kijana wewe unaonekana utakuwa denti wa UDSM au ulipitia UDSM, yani monopoly monopoly monopoly tuuuuu hamna lolote UDSM, wakisikia vyuo vivya vinaanzia wanaanza majungu mtindo mmoja!, sasa UDOM imekuja kuwashika UDSM, yani kama NDOVU Lager inavyoshika na kubamba kitaa
 
Mbona Tangazo halieleweki hili ni tangazo la kozi zinazotelewa UDOM au ajira ......Kweli hii UDOM Chuo kikubwaaaaa!
