TTCL DSL ni Wizi Wakubwa!!!

Habari Yenu,

Mimi nimekuwa configured internet connection ya DSL ya TTCL 1MBps Unlimited lakini chakushangaza speed iko low sana ni chini kabisa yani si stahiki kulipia 110,000 halafu speed iko namna hii,speed ni 300Kbps wakati mimi nimelipia unlimited 1Mbps speed!!tafadhali nisaidieni

Naombeni Email ya TTCL au Namba ya simu ya TTCL wa anaehusika na Mambo ya Internet !!! Tafadhali mmsinipe namba ya TTCL yoyote tu mimi ninataka namba ya anaehusika na Internet TTCL!!!
 
Mkuu ktk biashara hii kuna lugha gongana sana...kuna link au connection speed na download speed.. I suspect 1Mbs ni connection speed wakati 300mps ni download speed. Kibiashara watakwambia mtandao wao una kasi ya 1Mbs etc etc
 
Kwani uliapply vipi line ya Adsl mpaka uje uulize namba zao hapa? Siku uliyokwenda kuomba line ulikuja kuuliza namba zao hapa?

Ndio najua kuhusu lugha ya biashara lakini walisema connection speed ni 1MBps ambayo ya 11000 wao wameniekea ya 256Kbpbs ya 45000 ambayo mimi sijaichoose sasa ninataka nijue namba ya TTCL ya mtu anaejua kuhusu internet sio TTCL Office no.,

Wafanyakazi wengi wa ISP marketing ni vihiyo wa kanuni za kamchezo kao.
Biashara zote za iinternet zina lugha fifi. Kusema wanatoa 'spidi kubwa' na hata kuongezea 'ya 3G' ni upotoshaji.
Kasi za internet zinatangazwa na Internet Service Provider kwa nukuu ya bits, mtumiaji anazisoma mara nyingi kwa kiashiria cha Byte.
Byte moja ni bits nane,
hivyo, internet speed
1.024Mbps kutoka kwa ISP, mtumiaji ataisoma kama 128kB/s at maximum, on average for 64kB/s.

Kama matumizi yako ni makubwa nenda kaongee na manager mnegotiate ununue bandwidth ya kutosha, siyo kutoa laki half unalalamiiika!!! Kama matumizi yako ni ya kawaida, hauhitaji downloads nyingi kubwakubwa ila unataka speed nzuri na kwa bei nafuu nakushauri uhamie standard, hiyo laki unapata Gb kama 8 kwa speed nzuri. Kuongea na watu wanaohusika na internet ttcl piga 100 kama kawaida ongea na huduma kwa wateja,kisha waombe wakuunganishe na mtu wa "data"- watakuunganisha na m2 anayehusika na data utaeleza matatizo yako. TTCL hawana huduma nzuri saana kwa mteja, lakini kutokana na mahitaji yangu makubwa ya internet, providers wengine NIMESHINDWA-ntabaki TTCL kwa sasa!!!!!
 
lakini hata wakati wa kujiunga na unlimited huwa wanakupa tahadhali kuwa speed itategemea wateja wangapi wa aina yako watakuwa nao wanatumia huduma hiyo. je ni kila wakati katika saa 24 unapata mzoroto? pia ningekushauri ungebadili PASSWORD yako - na wao wanasisitiza sana ingawaje sababu siielewi - au sijui kama kuna uwezekano wa hofu kuwa akaunti yako yaweza kutumika na watu zaidi ya wewe mwenyewe - sina uhakika na hilo. mie naitumia speed hiyo kwa computer 8 na bado sijaanza kupata tatizo hilo.
 
Hii ndo bongo, mtu anaibiwa watu wako busy kumvamia mteja. TTCL wanatangaza 1024Mbps (Down) na 1024 (Up) kwa hiyo unlimited ya 110,000/= Kama unapata 300Kbps huo ni wizi mkubwa, unapata spidi za 45,000 kwa mwezi.
Nenda Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test fanya hiyo test kisha bandika majibu ili tuwe na uhakika tuko kurasa mmoja.
 
Tataizo letu Tanzania sisi ni wepsi wa kuunda taaisisi kwa style ya ku copy na kuaste baadaya hao watu wanakula mshahara bila kufanya kazi iliyokusudiwa .

TCRA, na kuna tume ya fair competition Commision mmoja au wote kati yao wanatakiwa kulisgughulikia hilo.

Lakini na sisi kama wateja pia tunatakiwa tuwajulishe wahusika. na regulators.

So namshauri mleta mada kesho watangwie simu TCRA na FTC usikie wataupa majibu gani?

ISP bandwidth and download speeds
The most common confusion caused by the similarity of KBps and kbps is when it comes to internet bandwidth and download speeds. People often complain that their ISP promised 512kbps connectivity but they are seldom able to download any file at 512 KBps. They fail to notice the difference in cases of the units and hence think their ISP is cheating them or offering them poor quality service. As mentioned earlier data transfer speeds are always calculated in terms of kilo bits per second (kbps) so an ISP connectivity of 512 kbps promises of transfer of at the max 512 kilo bits per second.
On the other hand, file size measure is always in Kilo Bytes and thus download speeds are always calculated based on how many Bytes per second are downloaded and hence Kilo Bytes per second (KBps). KBps and kbps are not interchangeable.
So an internet connectivity of say 512kbps can never achieve a download speed of 512 KBps. To calculate the maximum download speed of a “X kbps” connection, we need to use a simple formula as below.
Download KBPS speed = (Kbps value*1000) /8)) / 1024.
I.e. For a connectivity of 512 kbps
kbps value * 1000 = 512 * 1000 = 512000
512000 / 8 = 64000
64000 / 1024 = 62.5 KBps
Therefore theoretically an internet connection of 512kbps bandwidth can download at a speed of 62.5 KBps
If you don’t want to go through all the hassles of the above formula, just multiply the kbps value with 0.1220703125 to get the KBps value.
512 kbps * 0.1220703125 = 62.5 KBps. Simple!

I have mentioned download speed as approximate because they will vary (always reduce) by 15 – 20% due to network signal loss, computer hardware overheads etc. So for realistic, real world figures always reduce 15 – 20% from the computed KBPS download speeds
Now I guess the confusion of kbps and KBps has cleared away. Just remember when you talk in terms of network it’s always bites per second (bps) and when you talk in terms of storage and files its always Bytes per second (Bps). And next time you won’t complain when your 512 kbps connection does not give you download speeds of 512KBps because now you know why
