    Heshima mbele wakuu,
    Naomba tu kupata ufafanuzi na maana ya maneno Ugumba na Tasa, je maneno haya yana maana moja au ni tofauti kwani nimekuwa napata taabu katika matumizi yake. Sielewi wakati gani nitumie neno mgumba au Tasa.

    Mara nyingi maneno haya yanatumiwa kwa kubadilishana ingawa haipaswi kuwa hivyo. Nitajaribu kufafanua kidogo.

    Neno "Mgumba" linazungumzia mtu asiyeweza kuzaa aidha baada ya muda wake wa asili kupita au kwa kufanyiwa mabadiliko baadaye (kama kufungwa kizazi, au mirija ya manii). Hivyo mgumba mara nyingi anaweza kuwa mtu tayari mwenye watoto lakini baadaye hawezi kuzaa tena. Kwa maneno mengine, Mgumba ni mtu aliyefunga kizazi (aidha kwa sababu ya muda wake kupita - kwa kina mama)

    Neno "Tasa" hata hivyo linazungumzia mtu ambaye hana uwezo wa kuzaa tangu kuzaliwa. Mtu "tasa" hajawahi kuzaa na hawezi kuzaa aidha kutokana na ugonjwa fulani, hali fulani ya kimwili au mabadiliko fulani ya uzazi ambayo yamemfanya apoteze uwezo huo. Hivyo tasa mara nyingi tunahusisha kwa kusema "hana kizazi". Tasa haijalishi mtu ana umri gani anaweza kuwa binti wa miaka 19 na hana uwezo wa kuzaa kabisa.

    Mimi naomba kupingana na Mwanakjj kutokana na uelewa wangu(pengine siko sahihi)
    nijuavyo mimi TASA na MGUMBA ni maneno yenye maana moja ya kukosa uwezo wa kuzaa, kama ilivyo KUZAA na KUJIFUNGUA ila tu maneno haya hutumiwa kwa binaadam na wanyama.
    TASA - Mnyama aliyepoteza uwezo wa kuzaa
    MGUMBA - Binadamu aliyepoteza uwezo wa kuzaa
    kusema mtu fulani ni TASA inaleta kukera kwa namna fulani tofauti na kusema fulani ni mgumba.

    yapo maneno mengi ya kiswahili ambayo yanatumiwa kujenga heshima kwa binaadam tofauti na mnyama japo maana ni moja
    mfano Neno KUFA na KUFARIKI japo yote yanamaanisha jambo moja lakini matumizi yake yanamtunzia heshima mwanadamu.

    Naomba kusahihishwa kama sipo kwenye mstari.

    Kwa kidogo ninavyoelewa....Tasa ni yule asiye na uwezo wa kuzaa kabisaaa. Hajui hata maana ya kubeba mimba ni nini. Na haitatokea hata siku moja akawa mjamzito.

    Mgumba ni yule ambaye hana mtoto lakini anauwezo wa kubeba mimba lkn mimba zake huharibika. Au aliwahi kubeba mimba akapata mtoto na huyo mtoto hakuweza kuishi. All in all mgumba ana sense ya uzazi na ndiyo tofauti yake na tasa.

    Navyofahamu mimi,mgumba na tasa zina maana tofauti kama alivyoelezea Mwanakijiji,lakini wote waliochangia wanawaongelea wanawake tuu isipokuwa Lazydog ambae nae hakuwa wazi zaidi kuhusu mchango wake,ina maana maneno haya hayawezi kutumika kwa wanaume?

    Nakuhusu maneno KUFA na KUFARIKI,pia yana maana tofauti.Kufa ni kupoteza uhai na kufariki ni hali ya kuhama/kuondoka sehemu ambayo hautarudi tena na ndiyo maana uwa tunasema amefarki dunia,pia unaweza kufariki dar es salam,ukafariki india naakadharika

    Ahsante sana Baba Watatu kwa ufafanuzi wako kuhusu Kufariki na Kufa, ni kweli ulivyosema kufariki inamaana ya kuondoka/kuhama/kuacha asili ya neno hilo ni la kiarabu likinyumbuliwa kutoka neno farka ikimaanisha ya tengana/tenganisha. asante sana kwa hilo.

    Ama tukirudi kwenye mada ya Ugumba na Utasa, umegusia kuhusu sote tumeelemea kumhusisha mwanamke na kuacha kumzungumzia Mwanaume,
    ukweli ni kuwa lugha hujengwa toka kwenye tamaduni husika hivyo basi ni Nadra sana kwa tamaduni za kiafrika kuhusisha ugumba na Mwanaume mara nyingi pakikosekana mtoto katika familia basi haraka lawama huenda kwa mke. japo si mara zote kuwa tatizo liko kwa mke. Japo mimi sikuelemea kwenye jinsia yoyote katika maelezo yangu, lakini ndivyo unavyochukuliwa kiafrika.

    I think MMJ was right. Infertility ("ugumba") is reduced or lost ability to conceive and carry a baby, either for a short time or forever. Sterility ("utasa") means you can never conceive and carry a child. Both infertility and sterility do not change your ability or desire to have sex.

    Tatizo nilionalo mimi hapa ni kwamba wengi wetu hatufugi/hatujawahi kufuga. ni aghalabu kusikia mtu akisema Ng'ombe wangu huyo ni Mgumba. Tunasema Ngo'mbe TASA, Punda Tasa na mifugo yote kwa ujumla haitumiki Ugumba bali husemwa kwamba mnyma fulani ni TASA.
    kuna baadhi ya watu hasa waishio mjini wanatumia neno TASA kwa Binaadam jambo ambalo si sahihi, TASA ni Kwa wanyama tu.
    Mwanaadam anakuwa MGUMBA hawi TASA. hii ni katika kutunza heshima.

    Asante sana Mzee Mwankijiji, lakini kwa maoni yangu leo umechemsha. Mimi nina imani na jibu langu katika kubainisha tofauti iliypo kati ya ugumba na utasa. Baba wa kiswahili, Hayati Shaban Robert aliwahi kutoa jibu katika kitabu chake cha kufikirika. Katika kitabu hicho aliyatumia maneno haya mawili na hakika hayana mkanganyiko wowote. Aliongelea " Ugumba wa Mfalme na Utasa wa Malkia" Kwa hiyo mwanamme asiye kuwa na uwezo wa kumpa ujauzito mwanamke anaitwa Mgumba na mwanamke asiyekuwa na uwezo wa kutunga mimba ni tasa. Upo hapo!

    Ninauhakika Shaban Robert, Mungu amlaze mahali pema peponi, hakuwa na umasikini wa maneno kiasi cha kuyachanganya maneno hayo bila sababu. Miaka nenda rudi Shaban atabaki kuwa hakimu asiyeyumba katika kesi ya tafsiri ya maneno.
