Sexual Healing is my best tract, the tract brings me back to live, it makes me happy whenever i listen to it, i used it as a ringtone, i have made it a point of duty to listen to the tract before going to bed.

As far as i'm concern, i think sexual healing is one of the best track that i love so far for my areas of music, i have three phones, and i use sexual healing for all the singing tune. Know part of this song left behind, marvin gaye is one of the best artis that i love. Keep it up marvin

I think that this is a rather hard case to make. Marvin Gaye had married and been romantically involved with a large amount of woman, and he had 3 confirmed children. Some of his songs also dealt with very speific eroticism amongst females, which I believe many straight men would agree is accurate to the highest calibur. It is believed that he did change his name from Gay to Gaye because a religious fanbase, rather than Marvin himself, would feel more insecure, and it is also unclear whether or not he was actually pressured by other people to add the e. Your claim on Sexual Healing seems somewhat unfounded, and if my parents hated me, I also might find refuge in sex...with females, or alcohol, or drugs, or music, or all of the above.

What is a more legitimate question, and perhaps the question you are looking to ask is what were Marvin's father's motives for killing his son. You mention that Marvin Gaye was beaten, which he probably was by a man who was very involved with not only a strict vehicle of Christian religion, but an even stricter sect of said Christian division, the House of God sect of 7th day adventism. If Gaye stole candy as a child, he was beaten, if he didnt eat dinner, he was beaten, or if he didnt wear his clothes right he was beaten. Aloing these lines, you can certainly say that Gaye's father condemned homosexual practices, but it is doubtful whether he suspected, of course unfoundedly, his son of being homosexual. If he had any such suspicion, it may have played a small part in Gaye's death.

However, these would only be suspicions of a troubled man. There is no evidence pointing Marvin Gaye towards homosexuality in the slightest capacity.
