Article:
67. Qualifications for Member of Parliament
(l) Subject to the provisions contained in this Article, any person shall be qualified for election or appointment as a Member of the Parliament if he-
(a) is a citizen of the United Republic who has attained the age of twenty-one years and who can read and write in Kiswahili or English; and
(b) is a member of and a candidate proposed by a political party.

80. Qualifications and disqualifications of members of Parliament.
(1) A person is qualified to be a Member of Parliament if that person
(a) is a citizen of Uganda ;
(b) is a registered voter; and
(c) has completed a minimum formal education of Advanced Level standard or its equivalent.
