Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) is a parastatal organization charged with legal mandate to manage and regulate the use of areas designated as National Parks so as to preserve the countrys heritage of natural and cultural resources in Tanzania. The mission of TANAPA is therefore to sustainably conserve and manage park resources and their aesthetic values for the benefit of present and future generations of mankind and provision of high class tourism products and services. In order to efficiently carry out this mission, TANAPA is seriously looking for highly qualified Tanzanians to fill the following vacancies:
1. SENIOR IT ANALYST - NETWORKING ( 1 POST)
Reporting Relationship : Reports to Principal IT Analyst.
Location : TANAPA Headquarters in Arusha.
(i) Qualifications:
Holder of Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution also should be advanced Cisco Certified Engineer.
(ii) Experience:
At least five years of relevant working experience in Networking Operating Centre.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring Computer Security System.
Providing technical assistance to users.
Participating in detailed distributed real time system analysis.
Analyzing network system performance, preparing performance and usage reports.
Coordinating system testing.
Operating and supporting dedicated WAN hub.
Writing users manuals.
Ensuring proper installation of all systems and networks.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale :
TANAPA G.8 (i.e. Tshs. 1,372,950,x 27,000 1,669,950) per month.
2. IT ANALYSTS ( 2 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship : Reports to Principal IT Analyst.
Location: TANAPA Headquarters in Arusha.
(i) Qualifications:
Holder of Degree in Computer Science or equivalent qualifications from a recognised Institution.
(ii) Experience:
At least two years of relevant working experience.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Analysis of documents, files and report related to work flow.
Data base and network administration.
Documenting present procedures and operating methods.
Designing systems flow charts of information movements and computer oriented control.
Designing and reporting format for inputs and outputs files.
Making backup copies of all databases and transaction logs regularly.
Making adjustments to system parameters when necessary to improve performance.
(iv) Age limit :
Not above 35 years of age
(v)Salary Scale:
TANAPA G.7 (i.e. Tshs. 1,156,950,x 13,500 1,305,450) per month.
3. ACCOUNTS TECHNICIANS ( 4 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Park Accountants in the respective. Parks.
Location: Any of the National Parks.
(i) Qualifications:
Ordinary Secondary School Certificate with Accounting Technician Certificate Level II.
(ii) Experience:
At least one year experience.
(iii) Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing book keeping duties.
Preparing payment vouchers and disbursing cash.
Revenue collection and receiving cash and cheques from customers.
Maintaining Petty cash, Revenue, sales and purchase daybooks.
Maintaining staff imprest records & retirement.
Preparing list of outstanding payments.
Preparing salary deduction.
Preparing monthly & payroll summary sheet.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale:
TANAPA G.3 (i.e. Tshs. 573,750 x 10,800 692,550) per month.
4. NURSES ( 2 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Clinical Officers in the respective Parks.
Location: Serengeti and Gombe National Parks.
(i) Qualifications:
Form IV education with Nurse B Certificate and enrolled by the Tanzania Nurse and Midwives Council.
(ii) Experience:
At least three years working experience.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Providing nursing care to patients. Giving educational health on family planning and safe motherhood to the community.
Making follow up to the children in the parks to asses the extent of completion of vaccination.
Administering drugs and other treatment prescribed by Clinical/Assistant Medical Officer.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale :
TANAPA G.3 (i.e. Tshs. 573,750 x 10,800 692,550) per month.
5. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN ( 1 POST)
Reporting Relationship :
Reports to Clinical Officers in the respective Park.
Location :
Serengeti National Park
(i) Qualifications:
Holder of a Diploma in Laboratory Technology from a recognised institution. A candidate must have a basic knowledge of computer and posses analytical reporting writing skills.
(ii) Experience:
At least three years in the related field.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Performing laboratory investigations.
Collecting samples in the field.
Maintaining and up to dating records of all samples received and analyzed.
Packaging and dispatching of samples referred to higher laboratories.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale :
TANAPA G.4 (i.e. Tshs. 703,350x 13,500 851,850) per month.
6. CLINICAL OFFICER ( 1 POST)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Personnel and Administrative Officer in the respective Park.
Location: Mikumi National Park.
(i) Qualifications:
Diploma in Clinical Medicine
(ii) Experience:
At least two years of working experience.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Ordering and keeping medicine and first aid equipment.
Identifying and diagnosing patients illness.
Preparing budget for dispensary.
Providing preventive medicine.
Advising management on health matters.
Conducting disease prevention awareness to staff.
Ensure proper MCH services are provided in the park.
In-charge of health service centre in grade C parks.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale :
TANAPA G.4 (i.e. Tshs. 703,350x 13,500 851,850) per month.
7. DRIVERS ( 6 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Personnel and Administrative Officer in the respective Parks.
Location: Manyara, Serengeti, Ruaha and Katavi National Parks.
(i) Qualifications:
Form IV Secondary Certificate with passes in three subjects including English. Candidate should have a class C driving license and trade test Grade III certificate in Motor vehicle Mechanics.
(ii) Experience:
At least three years continuous driving experience as class C driver.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Driving vehicles;
Maintaining vehicle logbook and movement records according to regulations;
Transporting parcels to various destinations as may be required;
Undertaking minor service and repairs of vehicles/machines;
Making regular checks of vehicles to ensure cleanliness and serviceability;
Performing other related duties assigned by supervisor.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale:
TANAPA G.3 (i.e. Tshs. 573,750 x 10,800 692,550) per month.
8. TECHNICIAN GRADE II ( 5 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Personnel and Administrative Officer in the respective Parks.
Location: Any of the National Parks.
(i) Qualifications:
Form IV/VI Education with Full Technician Certificate (Civil or Mechanical) from a recognized Vocational Training Institution.
(ii) Experience:
At least two years experience in the relevant field.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Supervising on daily basis all parks facilities such as pavements, Utilities ensuring that are serviceable.
Carrying out general maintenance and minor repair of buildings /vehicles /mechanics.
Collecting data for planning.
Keep records an update them whenever necessary.
Carrying other related duties assigned by supervisor.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age (v) Salary Scale : TANAPA G.3 (i.e. Tshs. 573,750 x 10,800 692,550) per month.
9. OFFICE/PARK ATTENDANTS ( 7 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Personnel and Administrative Officers.
Location: TANAPA Headquarters in Arusha and any of the National Parks.
(i) Qualifications:
Form IV education certificate with passes in English and Swahili
(ii) Experience:
At least two years of working experience.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning Offices and environment.
Moving files from offices.
Watering plants.
Trimming grass and shrubs.
Carrying out messengerial duties e.g. photocopying, handling postage, collection of mail from post office, distributing stationary to the officers.
Loading and unloading office equipment from place to place.
Participating in early burning and fire suppression in the park.
Performing other related duties assigned by supervisor.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age (v) Salary Scale : TANAPA G.3 (i.e. Tshs. 573,750 x 10,800 692,550) per month.
10. ASSISTANT PROCUREMENT OFFICERS ( 2 POSTS)
Reporting Relationship: Reports to Procurement Officers in the respective Parks.
Location: Any of the National Parks
(i) Qualifications:
Form IV Education with Diploma in Materials Management from a recognized institution.
(ii) Experience:
At least two years of experience.
(iii) Key Responsibilities:
Custodian of store.
Maintaining security and safety of goods/stocks.
Maintaining stores ledger.
Updating stores records.
Receiving and issuing goods.
Maintaining stores loan records.
Preparing monthly stores report of all physical and card balances.
Undertaking stock review.
(iv) Age limit:
Not above 35 years of age
(v) Salary Scale :
TANAPA G.4 (i.e. Tshs. 703,350x 13,500 851,850) per month.
