Waziri January Makamba na ujumbe wake kutoka sekta za wizara za Uchukuzi, Biashara na Viwanda, TEHAMA, Kilimo, Nishati na maofisa pia wa mashirika ya umma.
Ziara ya rais Dr. Samia Hassan mwezi agosti 2021 nchini Rwanda imesaidia nchi hizi mbili jirani kufahamiana zaidi hivyo kuimarisha mahusiano ambapo mikataba ya makubaliano katika Uhamiaji, elimu na uthibiti wa bidhaa za madawa n.k yalisainiwa.
Nchi hizi zina miradi ya ushirikiano ya katika reli SGR Isaka Tanzania hadi Kigali Rwanda , Nishati bwawa la umeme la Rusumo 27 MW lenye thamani ya US Dollar 340,000,000 lililopo katika mpaka wa nchi tatu Tanzania, Rwanda na Burundi linalotegemewa kuingiza umeme ktk gridi ya umeme mwishoni mwa mwezi March.

Tanzania’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation January Makamba said on Monday, March 11 he would be traveling to Rwanda on a bilateral visit.
In a post on X, Makamba said he would bring along senior officials from Ministries of Transport; Trade and Industry; ICT; Agriculture; Energy; and from key parastatals.
“I am keen to partner with colleagues in Rwanda to strengthen relations between our two countries.”
During a visit to Rwanda by Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu in August 2021, the two governments signed bilateral agreements on ICT, immigration, education and regulation of medical products.
The two countries have cooperation in multiple sectors such as agriculture, transport and energy.
In January, Rwanda’s Minister of State in charge of Regional Cooperation James Kabarebe and Tanzania’s Minister of Livestock and Fisheries Abdallah Hamis Ulega signed an agreement of cooperation in the development of the dairy industry.
The two countries have a plan to build a railway from Isaka in Tanzania to Kigali.
Rwanda, Tanzania and Burundi have collaborated on the construction of Rusumo Hydropower plant, which is set to produce 27MW.
The $340 million plant built on the three countries borders, is expected to be opened in late March.
