Failed state:
Is a state that is unable to perform the two fundamental functions of the sovereign nation-state in the modern world system:

1. It cannot project authority over its territory and peoples.

2. It cannot protect its national boundaries. The governing capacity of a failed state is attenuated such that it is unable to fulfill the administrative and organizational tasks required to control people and resources and can provide only minimal public services. Its citizens no longer believe that their government is legitimate, and the state becomes illegitimate in the eyes of the international community.

A failed state is composed of feeble and flawed institutions. Often: The executive barely functions, the legislature, judiciary, bureaucracy, and armed forces have lost their capacity and professional independence.

A failed state suffers from;

1. Crumbling infrastructures.
2. Faltering utility supplies and educational and health facilities, and deteriorating basic human-development indicators, such as infant mortality and literacy rates.

3. Failed states create an environment of flourishing corruption and negative growth rates, where honest economic activity cannot flourish.

Mataifa yaliyoshindwa yanaunda mazingira ya kushamiri kwa ufisadi na viwango hasi vya ukuaji, ambapo shughuli za uaminifu za kiuchumi haziwezi kustawi.

Dont blame the leader, BLAME THE SYSTEM

How can a state with "OPPOSITION PARTIES" not have opposition in parliament?

How can a successful state (as compared to a failed state) refuse to allow opposition parties to speak out if it is really "successful"?

How can a leader of a successfu state get a chance to select capable people to run his/her country if the SYSTEM FORCES him/her to appoint thousands of people (he/she doesnt know) to run the country?

Just imagine:- How can a president of a successful state know the working capacity of each regional commissioner, each district commissioner, each regional director, each district director, each chief executive officer of each government corporation? To this list, add the executives in government ministries, regional administrative offices, ministers and their deputions, permanent secretaries and judges, and police chiefs.

How can a state be successful if the state's system prevents people running it to be selected on merit and capacity to perform?
