THIS MAN KAHALID AUCHO!!
Today, I choose to remember and celebrate Khalid Aucho.
There have been midfielders in the KPL and then there was one Khalid Aucho alias "Anti Da Lost One"
He was more than a midfielder. One of the players who gave their all to Gor Mahia – a player who took Gor as ‘his own’ property and wanted the best always. ‘Anti Da Lost One’ was a reliable player with enough gas in the cylinder to burn all through the game. No discussion or debate about the invincible 2015 season will go down without Aucho’s name featuring big time - his work rate, precision and general confidence was top.
He'll be remember for the major role he played in the famous 2015 unbeaten season , the Ugandan offered his 100%. Who remembers his goal against Chemelil at Nyayo stadium? A great goal it was.
Aucho will also be remembered for the big performance against Sony on a rainy Thursday some years ago in Awendo . For those who had been to Awendo, you know picking even just a point was a big ‘win’ – Gor had been previously lost at the same venue by the same team. On that day ,Aucho led the team to a very tough 1-0 win – he was a defender, he was launching dangerous attacks from the midfield, Aucho was getting involved in every attack in opponents' box.
Long live Khalid Aucho
Gor Mahia family celebrates you.
