Desktop apps vs web application

Kwa sababu ya ujio wa cloud computing which makes the use of web developed applications more ideal since they are the one that can be easily deloyed over the Internet, with this in mind, question what the future holds for desktop application? what advantages on get from using/developing a software of desktop nature?

ujio wa cloud computing hauathiri sana waafrika(watanzania). itachukua muda cloud computing kutufikia wengi. Web applications haziwez kureplace au kuathiri desktop apps. hata hivyo upo uwezekana mkubwa kwa programmers kukonvert desktop apps to web apps kwa sababu programming languages nyingi na develepors tools zinakupa uwezo wa kubuild web au desktop apps kwa urahisi.

Nakubaliana na nyasiro, hata kama cloud based apps zitakuwa na umaarufu zaidi haimaanishi kuwa kifo cha desktop apps kimeshafika. Jaribu kufikiria kuhusu matumizi ya WinXP hata sasa pamoja na kuwa imekwisha pitwa na nyakati -- most ATMs, lib management systems n.k. zina-run on WinXP environment. Tunao mfanao mzuri wa Chrome notebooks ambazo utakubaliana na mimi kuwa bado haijapata umaarufu ule tuliotarajia ungekuwepo. Itachukua muda, muda mrefu actually.

-from was i read on case studies abroad, security is not an issue, there already many web application that are used as transaction systems abroad like paypal and amazon the system enable any one carry out transaction, they are secure and reliable.

-as for internet speed, it is up you the user, if you have fast internet that fine, if it is slow it is up to you.

-also web apps came with advantange of not having to install application softwares for client users and as you all know this makes them ideal to be used in cloud computing
