This is a dedication to those I have loved before.
I am certain of only one thing,
It was I, who loved you with everything I had.
I was vulnerable with you,
I handed over my heart and offered my soul for the taking,
I wrote poems about you, can you say the same??
It was a scary notion to think how much love was lost,
Because you feared loving me back with the same love I offered you.
I had nothing to do with it, my soul chose you anyways,
Therefore I loved you and it was our time together,
And we had the rarest kind of love, a soul love.
Sometimes you don't realize that time,
That unfathomable moment while you are living it and it's gone forever.
And now, you can look back on all those precious moments we lost because you were too afraid to love me,
Read my poems and ache for me.
And in the coming years,
When the light is gone from your eyes,
You will remember me and my love.
