Recently at the KQ office in Dar, I met a fellow traveler, whom we had a discussion on the impact of the influx of Asians in TZ. Needless to say, we were both on the same wavelength; they are taking jobs and business opportunities that could have otherwise benefited the local population.
I would hope this frustration is shared by many. Whenever I am stopped by immigration officers at the Mw. Nyerere airport, I always take the opportunity to ask them why so many Chinese come through. Of course, they are the wrong persons to ask, being that they are so low in the decision-making hierarchy. I guess it is a way of venting…
Anyway, Mbongo mwenzangu at the KQ office went to tell me of an incident where he hailed a Taxi, and to his surprise, the driver was Chinese!
Has anybody come across this Taxi before?
