"CENIT@EA SCHOLARSHIPS TO PURSUE MASTERS STUDIES IN EMBEDDED AND MOBILE SYSTEMS (EMoS) AT THE NELSON MANDELA AFRICAN INSTITUTION OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE FOR ICT IN EAST AFRICA (CENIT@EA) The CENIT@EA is initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the East African Community (EAC). It is funded by BMZ and implemented by German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the German Academic Exchange Services (DAAD) in partnership with the Inter-University Council of East Africa (IUCEA). The CENIT@EA is designed as a regional Centre serving Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda and hosted at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) at the School of Computational Communication Sciences and Engineering (CoCSE). The CENIT@EA aims at establishing a demand driven Master Degree Programme in Embedded and Mobile Systems (MSc. EMoS), strengthening teaching and learning capabilities of East African Universities in ICT- related fields, and fostering regional networks and cross-sector partnerships between higher education institutions, industry, the public sector and civil society. SCHOLARSHIPS The CENIT@EA aims at achieving reasonable distribution of scholarships for master programme in Embedded and Mobile Systems following a transparent and fair selection of scholarship r Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or other related fields. Or have at least an overall of grade “B” in relevant subjects or fields of specialization in case of holding an unclassified degree Have adequate knowledge of written and spoken English Be able to apply for admission into master’s degree in Embedded and Mobile Systems at NM-AIST through the following link: http://oas.nmaist.ac.tz:8080/noas/
HOW TO APPLY All scholarship applications and required documents must be submitted through CENIT@EA online forms available at www.cenit-ea.org/application/ Please prepare all the necessary documents before starting the online scholarship application process, as the application cannot be cached. Make sure to have a valid e-mail address and a stable internet connection before initiating the process For a list of required documents and application procedures visit CENIT@EA website How to apply section. The Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Arusha is one in a network of Pan-African Institutions of Science and Technology located across Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). These institutions, which are the proud brainchild of the late Nelson Mandela, envision training and developing the next generation of African scientists and engineers with a view to impacting profoundly on the continent's development through the application of Science, Engineering and Technology and Innovation (SETI).
"The NM-AIST, which is accredited by the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) is being developed into a world class research intensive institution for postgraduate and post-docs studies and research in SETI. The training in SETI, however, incorporates appreciable doses of relevant business studies and humanities ingredients. Thus the training curricular also incorporate strong innovation and entrepreneurship features, and hence strong academia-industry relations are part of the NM-AIST's development agenda. NM-AIST's curricular also seek to accommodate, enable, stimulate and catalyze the innovation and entrepreneurship qualities inherent in the Y-generation for the benefit of SSA's sustainable development".
