Raila is BACK! , yes baba has gone the digital space in a big way, this is causing panic inside the big house.


This video promo for Raila Odinga presidency is said to have got top statehouse operatives into an impromptu caucus to discuss the resurgent Raila.


Deputy President Ruto is currently embroiled in an alleged corruption scandals involving 28billion and his fortunes in Rift Valley seem to be dwindling, all is said to be accelerated by the Kenyatta and Moi family media houses….. ‘baba' is gaining momentum and ready for take off!

it doesn't matter,because the massage and tonation conveyed by morgan freeman is very valid in today's politic.

1) FYI Uhuru was not in state house at the time of this message, so it wouldnt have got statehouse operatives in panic.
2) like everything else, Kenyans have long forgotten of an existence of such a video.
3) the fact that he did not air such a video which would have surely gained him more supporters who like Hollywood movies (which is a majority of us), tells you that this video probably ran into some copyright issues, We have seen many political leaders voices be mimicked exactly like the real voices.
4) I was team Rao at the start of presidential campaigns up to months before the presidential debate, then I changed my mind, so am not exactly a die hard fanatic of Uhuru, so am not just bubbling out of zeal or being naive for the other guy.... Am just being rational

we should honestly give this man a chance, we cannot overlook his contribution for the democratic space in Kenya and his patriotic stance over the years, he deserves a term at statehouse.

Raila is involved in many corruption scandals hata hiyo ya 28 billion inasemekana ati aide yake alikuwa involved eti alipocket 850 million shillings as commission, so ruto's role in that may have been CORD's propaganda. Video hakuna kitu itafanya, kenya is not a democratic country and no matter what they have always proved to vote by tribal affiliation and not by ideology, bado demokrasia yetu haijakomaa kiasu hicho.

- Economic Sovereignty
- focus on production and industrialization
- Bold Maternity and healthcare initiatives
- Constant focus on improvement of infrastructure and technology



Rao - Champion for Justice and protection of human rights, freedom of media
- End to rampant corruption
- Rule of law, Security
- Friend to almost all the world nations (from britain,US,Isreal to UAE, china,Russia)
- Reduction of prices of basic commodities, regardless of the loss of the economic momentum or the cost the government inccures







the choices should come from issue like these, but sadly, we are still primitive when it comes to politics

Democracy in Africa is less than 50 years,I think generally the learning curve for Africa in both civilization and democracy has been very fast.Ethnic voting and clashes will still be with us in the next 50-100 years

I know this might puzzle u, infact find it controversial; but the more educated and well off a person is, the more likely he/she will be prejudiced against other pipo based on their race, tribe, station or religion.

The Kenyan urban elite are infact more racist/tribalist/classist than their rural counterparts. They are the ones who infact influence the negative opinions of the rural folks regarding the other religious or tribal groups.
They are the ones who teach them to see the "bad" in the other tribes and only the "good" in their own.

I totally disagree here.
It all narrows down to the political leaders, to a greater extent and to the media.
It is them that wield the greatest power to influence the thought processes of the pipo in regards to such matters.

Tanzania for example attained its independence slightly earlier than Kenya but their society isnt as ethnically stratified as ours (how many tribes are there in Tzed btw?). It has been peaceful throughout its independent history.
How did they do it? Really, it has to take Kenya +50yrs to achieve just that?
Our leaders should borrow a leaf from mwl. Nyerere on proper society building.

Democracy wasn't build there in one day the even took more time than Africa this is why I say Africa technically us way ahead of the developed world in many things thus wen we are finally developed we will be way ahead of all the other world's

If its to learn from Tanzania, that ship sailed long time ago.
If i remember correctly, Nyerere united Tanzania by making Tanzanians abandon some of there tribal identities in favor of nationalism. This can never happen in Kenya, Maybe in the 60s but not now. For starters one of those unifying factors in Tz was Kiswahili which was naturally spoken countrywide, while in Kenya, we still have some parts of Kenya where people cant speak or understand Kiswahili

If you forget all the violence and negative ethnicity, Kenyans strongly love there tribes, its a source of pride and Identity and belonging. Just look at Churchill show, different comedians make jokes about tribes everyday all all people of different devide laugh together..............


But history and negligence and favoritism in our leaders has made us so broken. the people of Kenya need good leadership to stop tribalism, but the leaders(even the good ones) need tribalism to first make it to the seat of power, what Kenyas need is someone who will be willing to betray and sacrifice himself to save us all....




But I conclude by saying the surest way of ending violent tribalism in Kenya is by economic alleviation, once a majority of the population in every region is employed with a good paying job, a nice school for your children, a good hospital in the neighborhood, clean running water, no one will have time to raise his/her arm against another person. Because tribalism in Kenya is not really about the tribe that one comes from, its about development,jobs,resources,money.

I agree Kafrican, it is not really possible now to make Kenyans drop their tribal identities now. It is a little too late.
Our ethnic diversity is probably good for our country, except ofcos when exploited by the political class to divide us for their own political ends.

What has indeed fanned the resentment and suspicion among the various Kenyan ethnic groups indeed was the manner the national cake were distributed, the tribe belonging to those in the authority and the affiliated tribes enjoying disproportionate amount of the cake. The rest; so little or nothing at all.
We pray that the recently introduced system of devolution will finally bring to an end this insidious culture of tribal favouritism.
kadoda11, I read this in the newspaper, way back when I was still high school in 2006 that an estimated 65% of Tanzanians didnt know which tribe their new president Jakaya Kikwete belongs to. To me that was incredible!
I really wish our Kenya was quite like that.

some of us knew his tribe since 1995 but we didn't pay any attention about it cos that is not in our culture.we don't elect/vote leaders by the tribe they come from,but for their influence,commitment and determination to the society.

I concur with you 100% but you failed to ask/answer why??
The educated Kenyans are the ones who work both in Government and the Private sector and are more likely to see tribalism -How the tribe in Power i.e the President of the day favours his/her tribe when it comes to job opportunities...

Great observation hbuyosh. tribalism is the cancer that is slowly eating us away, it has eroded our dignity and sense of patriotism and has left us only as communities that share boundaries. If we don't find a way of nipping it at the bud, we are doomed. a great country with immense potential and great people being destroyed by the most barbaric of human flaws. we've allowed politicians to hold us hostage in our own country, divide us tribaly, rape our women, and we even turn a blind eye when the deputy president goes on a looting spree and no one castigates him just because he has numbers, as they say, ''without him Kamwana will lose''. now we have a thief holding one of the most powerful position in the land and no one can touch him, simply because he was born in the right tribe and he has numbers.

Uhuru is a great guy, I honestly hold nothing against him, but what happened to patriotism? what happened to letting his work speak for itself? why is he in a marriage of convenience with a criminal, who has an insatiable appetite for public resources? Sometimes some things just don't add up, why can't he just kick the dude to the curb and let his work speak for him, is he afraid of loosing the Kalenjin vote? Kenyans need to vote in someone who will directly bring change to their lives, tangible change not numbers and stats, we need a leader who has the interest of the country at heart not politicians whose only interest is the next election.
