Details have emerged of the woman whose body was found next to that of IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.

Her family on Tuesday revealed her identity as 21-year old Caro Ngumbu.

She had just finished studies at Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Karen branch and was due to graduate in December.



Her sister Jedida Wanjiku told journalists that she last spoke to the deceased on Friday at around 7pm when she told her that she was going to have a few drinks with Mr Msando.

The two had had lunch together at a fast food joint in the city centre. Afterwards, Jedida went to get supplies for her business while Caro left for some errands.

Caro would later call her at 7 pm to say that she was hanging out with Mr Msando
Jedida said Caro and Ms Msando had known each other for months, but denied they had an affair.

Jedida said she realised Caro was missing on Saturday after her (Caro’s) male friend called looking for her because her phone was off.

“Yesterday after seeing the news on TV, I immediately knew it was my sister because she had last gone hanging out with Chris but I hadn’t heard from her. So I called some of my friends and we went to City Mortuary. We did not even inform our parents before going.”

“At the mortuary, I was scared and I let my two friends go inside while I stayed outside. I shortly heard my friend scream and I knew it was her,” said Jedida.

At the their home in Gachie, the mother Alice Nduruka described Caro as very calm and peacefully child.

“When she told me she was going out on Friday I did not expect could receive such news,” she said.

“This is not something that could have happened to my daughter because she is such a good person.”

it could be that he was killed by the jealous boyfriend....huyu jamaa hata kama tunamwombea mema, alikuwa anafanya ka ukora flani...sielewi vile jamaa alienda pekee yake kule roysambu bila hata protection...there was no communication to the family or to work members that he had gone there...then his car is found somewhere in a plot in Roysanmbu...a whole ICT manager anafanya nini roysambu kama si mpango wa kando...

Nilisema kitu ka hiyo kwa Fb page ya Moses Kuria...manzee si nimeroastiwa huko.

Nilisema tu, pengine MK hakuhusika kummurder Chris, lakini hiyo panganga yake mob ndo imemweka kwa hii situation aonekane ka suspect.

Pengine it was a love triangle gone awry. But...

Hio ni MO imetumika na wauwaji wa watu washuhuri dunia nzima, oldest assassination trick in the book, you get killed together with a previously unknown woman and suddenly the in the eyes of the public people don't feel that sorry for you anymore, they public court then starts to have the concensus that maybe you were killed because you were guilty of something...

This is the same reason why when a muslim is killed then when we condem the police, they issue a statement that he/she was a notorious terrorist informer, suddenly the public seems to be okay with it..
When a suspected robber is killed and a gun "placed" besides him, suddenly, the ublic doesn't care what kind of person he was before he died, we just accept that he must have been guilty...

Same reason why me and you on the streets would join a mob justice topunish and even kill a suspected chicken thief even though 99% of the people beating up the guy never witnessed the suspect stealing the chicken....


In this regard, we are a broken society,
They started killing robbers on the spot, we let them
They started killing terrorist on the spot, fine
We as a society then took it upon ourselfs to kill robbers on the streets... and everyone seemed fine with it
They started torturing and killing suspected robbers and terrorist, still it was fine, as long as its not "me"
....

Now its a free for all , anyone can just pick up any number of people murder them and through them at the usual forest ... Even the extrajudicial killings that used to happen in the past was organised, its was properly executed with intent using chain of command, orders were issued and orders were followed.... But nowadays even junior officers take it upon themselves to execute these missions on their own without orders

The public never payed attention such unlawful killings of alleged criminals by the police, more so when the said criminals belonged to the lower segment of the society.

They are bad citizens, a threat to our property, our lives, and even our daughters' purity, they would argue.

But now that these days they are targeting even the elite, the top creme of the Kenyan society....it appears that is what is stirring Kenyans from their indifference to these very illegal killings.
