I Have Nothing Left To Give

I would gladly start afresh
set the darkness aside and come into the light,
step out of the gloom and laugh again,
But I have nothing left to give.

My light went out, my heart lives in the dark,
my laughter died out all that comes out is a moan,
a plastic smile hides the cold dark eyes I now have.
It is all I have left to give.

All you see is a beautiful confident woman,
as she walks gracefully and is full of life,
she seems so carefree that you all want a piece of her.
Little knowing she has nothing left to give.

She never was always this way, her heart didnt always habour the hardness it now has,
turmoils on her heart savaged its beauty,
leaving her with nothing more to give.

Thus she says NO to her curious heart,
which wonders whether she should try again,
for she lacks the will and the energy ,
and whatever else it takes to try again.
