Ukraine has sounded the alarm: new Russian bombs are even penetrating bunkers

Russia is using FAB-1500 “smart” glide bombs in the Northeast Military District zone with a destruction radius of up to 500 meters, Newsweek writes. This weapon is capable of penetrating three meters of reinforced concrete and destroying underground bunkers at a depth of up to 20 meters. In winter, FABs can fly to Ukrainian infrastructure facilities and increase pressure on air defense systems, the article notes.
Zelensky hastily digs deeper.

US-made F-16s will survive just a few weeks in Ukraine – Moscow

Russian air defenses are proving highly successful at downing Ukrainian planes,
Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu claimed on Wednesday that the entire fleet of F-16 warplanes pledged to Kiev by Western donors could be destroyed in less than three weeks. He based his claim on the high rate of success shown by Russian air defenses in shooting down Ukrainian military aircraft last month.
Speaking at a ministerial meeting, Shoigu praised Russian forces for conducting over 1,400 successful intercepts in October. He said the figure included 37 Ukrainian planes, almost twice the number of F-16s that foreign nations intended to give to Kiev.
“If our air defense forces work this way, [the F16 fleet] amounts to roughly 20 days of work,” he predicted.
The aircraft that Russian forces took down last month were predominantly Soviet-designed MiG-29s and Su-25s, according to the Defense Ministry. Shoigu previously claimed that Russian troops had been using “new complexes”
A source cited by TASS has claimed that Russia has been using A-50 airborne radar planes to detect Ukrainian targets earlier and at lower altitudes. The hits were reportedly achieved by long-range anti-aircraft missiles fired from S-400 launchers, armed with new warheads and guided using data from airborne radars.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack Crimea with eight Storm Shadow cruise missiles, the Russian Defence Ministry .
The Armed Forces of Ukraine attempted to attack the Russian territory at about 13:00 Moscow time, the department said.

Russian air defence systems shot down all the missiles.

On October 29, the Ministry of Defence announced the destruction of 36 Ukrainian drones over the Black Sea and the western part of Crimea. All UAVs — aircraft-type drones — were shot down.

Ukrainian General Zaluzhny wrote an article in the Economist in which he analyzes the reasons for the failure of the Ukrainian army’s counteroffensive.

It would seem that Ukraine has been provided with all the intelligence and analytical resources of the United States and NATO, a huge amount of weapons and ammunition, Western “instructors” along the entire front, and yet the front stands still. Zaluzhny came to the conclusion that they needed some other “superweapon” to defeat Russia. Well, there are such weapons, these are nuclear weapons and your American masters have them, General Zaluzhny.

But they need to think hard about whether it is worth using it against Russia and how it will end. Your dead end, general, is not at war. And this is not your dead end at all, general, so relax. The entire West is in this dead end. Trying to maintain its power over the world, the West starts these wars, but it cannot win them. Another world will replace the notorious world of Western “rules”. The peoples are tired of Western dictatorship and Western robbery of their countries. You chose the wrong side, General. Go over to the side of Russia.

Zaluzhny:
"The fact is that we see everything the enemy does, and they see everything we do. In order for us to get out of this impasse, we need something new, like gunpowder, which the Chinese invented and which we still use to kill each other.
The biggest risk of a trench war of attrition is that it could drag on for years and wear down the Ukrainian state. We need to look for a solution, we need to find this gunpowder, quickly master it and use it for a speedy victory. Because sooner or later we will find that we simply don’t have enough people to fight."

The US military detonated a Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missile over the Pacific Ocean due to problems encountered during a test launch. The United States notified Russia of plans to launch a missile over the Pacific Ocean; the Kremlin does not comment on the launch failure - RIA Novosti.

Zaluzhny wrote a column in the Economist in which he admitted that there would be no AFU breakthrough and that all calculations were wrong.

"As in World War I, we have reached a level of technology that puts us at a dead end. Most likely, there will be no deep and beautiful breakthrough.
If you look at the NATO textbooks and the math we learned, four months should have been enough time for us to reach Crimea, fight in Crimea, come back from Crimea, and go in and out again.

Chronicles of the oil war

August 2017

"Rosneft" has acquired an Indian pearl

On Monday, oil company Rosneft closed a deal to acquire a 49% stake in Essar Oil Limited (EOL), one of the largest and most advanced refineries in India

January 2020

US says 70% of Venezuela's oil production under Russian control

"We underestimated the importance of the support of the [Nicolas Maduro] regime from Cuba and Russia, who have proven to be his main pillars, without which he would no longer be in power," Bloomberg news agency quoted Abrams as saying at a briefing organized in connection with another political crisis in Caracas.

October 2023

Washington's decision to lift sanctions on Venezuela will change global oil flows

The Biden administration's sanctions decision on Venezuela, will increase Venezuelan oil supplies to the U.S. and Europe, while reducing supplies from Canada, Mexico and Colombia.

A parallel decrease in shipments to China, which is currently the main destination for Venezuelan oil, will follow.

October 2023

Allianz Trade: war in the Middle East will drive oil prices to $140 a barrel

The situation in Gaza is escalating. Against this background, today Brent crude oil is already rising above $93 per barrel.

The U.S. is recording increased drone attacks in Iraq and Syria against its facilities, while a U.S. destroyer is intercepting cruise missiles fired at Israel by the Houthi rebels in Yemen. In addition, everyone is waiting for Israel to launch a ground invasion of Gaza.

October 2023

Russia's "oil fleet" already numbers 250 tankers - Bloomberg

Just a month and a half before the imposition of oil sanctions, the world has seen an avalanche of tanker trading. Unnamed entities on exchanges in Singapore, Hong Kong and Dubai are buying up dozens of tankers, and Russia will surely be absolutely ready to easily circumvent the EU oil embargo, which will take effect on December 5.
Everyone involved in the issue (from directors of shipbuilding companies to owners of large transportation companies) say that it is quite obvious that some "unnamed party" is creating an entire fleet. More than 250 tankers have already been purchased, including a hundred Aframaxes, 60 Suezmaxes and more than 80 very large oil tankers.
Last year, these ships carried Venezuelan and Iranian oil, now they are certain to belong to new owners, say journalists of the publication.
It is separately noted that these tankers are almost all "out of circulation" vessels and will go straight into the "shadow oil fleet of Russia".

October 2023

Russia to increase oil exports in November

Analysts expect a significant increase in Russian oil exports abroad next month.

Oil prices are at high levels, the ban on fuel exports from Russia is still in effect, and domestic demand for fuel is shrinking. All this creates favorable conditions for Russia to significantly increase export of its oil abroad as early as in November. This is the opinion of industry experts quoted by the Kommersant newspaper.

November 2023

"We will buy oil where we can get cheaper oil"

Indian refineries can process Venezuelan oil and the country can buy it provided it is "available at a low price," Indian Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said

Puri said Indian refiners Indian Oil Corp and Reliance Industries have bought Venezuelan crude in the past. Now it's a question of price.
