The creation, development and facilitation of the acquisition of knowledge and skills by individuals in order that they are able to function effectively within a profession and as productive members of the broader society.
Key performance areas:
Core competencies:
Candidates must have a relevant doctoral degree with relevant knowledge in internet marketing and business research. Supervising of masters dissertations and doctoral theses will be an added advantage.

- To facilitate the learning processes and outcomes of the department.
- To conduct and publish research.
- To perform academic engagement.
- To perform administration
Core competencies:
- In-depth knowledge in the theory and application in the business management discipline.
- Extensive experience at facilitating learning at undergraduate level and some at postgraduate level.
- Contributed to or the potential to contribute to the creation of knowledge by virtue of published research.
- A good understanding of NMMU policies and procedures.
