Whenever I get in Dar I like walking around wondering how beautiful and busy the city is. I met a friend who told me was hunting a job.
I just want to share with some of you guys what I advised him.
If you are in Dar you can easily get working capital required for a better business by using just 50,000 or 100,000. Najua unashangaa, this is how you should go about it.
Pata simu kama Blackberry and printer {or any phone which has a printer icon}, get an IT guy to assist you connect your Blackberry to your printer. {Printer zipo nyingi sana bei nafu sana} Having done that, engage you phone with Zap. Pata sehemu safi weka tangazo la kuuza Luku kama wengine. Since people need print outs you are in position to do so. Hapo Dar there is no business person who can accommodate Luku demand.
Sasa unatakiwa kuwa mjanja, convince wateja wako pia kwamba you can always send them the digits for Luku by sms unlike the print out. Buy Luku tokens using Zap. However, people should know that you do charge extra for the service.
Your charges can be like this; Luku for 1000 - 3500 charge 300, Luku for 4000 8500 charge 500, Luku for 9000 -14,000 charge 1000. OR make some simple calculations and make sure each 10,000 invested produces 1000, if you can make a profit of 5,000 - 10,000 a day, reinvest that profit for 2 months. Remember Airtel will only charge you Tsh150 for each transaction you make for buying Luku so make sure a customer incur the cost.
Man do you think you need to go for those expensive Maximalipo or Selcom? Unless you want to be their servant and make money for them, like most of those people who do use their devices to provide Luku service. Kuna pesa zimezagaa mtaani kwako unashindwa kuziokota, tena wanakuletea kama vile wanavyo zipeleka kanisani wenyewe. what you need is a better location which has demand for Luku service.
Network problem sometimes its general but you should know how to represent it to your esteemed customers. This is how you should overcome network problem as it may happen during peak selling hours. Get a friend {whom you trust} who is Tanesco agent, you can always provide him kama laki mbili ili whenever there is network problem, you just give him a call in return he will get you the tokens. Nowadays making a call and sms is cheap. Tanesco agents use TTCL network so they rarely have net work problems. Man you will never lose your money since Zap pia ni pesa just make sure you get a friend at Airtel who can provide you with the necessary service at time T.
As time goes by also provide M-Pesa service.
Dont just make money but make ways of making money. No miracles from heaven to make your ends meet. Just work hard and ask God to give you courage. I wish you all the best.
