The 16th qualified teams will only be known on 20 April 2011, as FIFA has postponed the return leg match between Liberia and Côte dIvoire to this same date in order to allow the Ivorian team to leave its territory to play this match.
The match dates for the 2nd round are the following: 3/4/5 June 2011 for the first-leg matches, 17/18/19 June 2011 for the return-leg matches.
The next and final stage will see the introduction of a new qualifying system that is to be further communicated but three teams are going through to represent CAF at the London 2012 Olympics with a fourth African team going to meet a team from Asia in a play-off match to be held on 12 th April 2012 in London, UK.
