One of Africas most powerful Presidents Goodluck Ebere Jonathan of Nigeria is expected to pay a state visit to Malawi next week.
The Nigerian leader is scheduled to jet in the country next Monday, September 10, according to sources at the State House.
Though the length of his visit is still unclear, while in Malawi President Jonathan is expected to hold bilateral talks with his Malawi counterpart President Joyce Banda aimed at fostering the socioeconomic and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
His state visit to Malawi follows President Bandas in Nigeria in April and July this year respectively, the trips that also took her to South Africa and Liberia.

On her arrival from the West Africans most populated nation, President Joyce Banda told the local media she discussed with her counterpart a number of bilateral issues including establishment of Nigerian Embassy in Lilongwe.
In Malawi, Jonathan is also expected to meet hundreds of Nigerians residing in the country majority of whom are Lilongwe based business people.
Meanwhile, Jonathans visit to Malawi has created excitement among Nigerians residing in Lilongwe as they have produced over 300 golf and t-shirts to wear during their presidents visit.
The golf shirts and t-shirts all white in colour have been written Welcome His Excellency Dr Jonathan Goodluck to Malawi.
