THE National Housing Corporation (NHC) plans to demolish its houses in prime areas and construct new modern structures beginning next year, as part of the firm's strategic development agenda.
NHC also refuted reports that it would sell its properties in prime areas, saying the structures were assets and major source of revenue for the institution.
"Our houses in prime areas will not be sold out to tenants. We expect to demolish old buildings and construct modern apartments.
"The project is scheduled to take off next year," said NHC Head of Corporate and Public Affairs, Ms Suzan Omari.
