Reviews travel advance expense reports and provides analysis of the travel advances
Prepares the payroll as per FHI requirements and the statutory requirements
Assists in the preparation of project pipeline/variance analysis and expenditure reports
Assists in the preparation of the GFAS financial report,checking recipients monthly financial reports, budgets and other program and financial management documents
Updates and maintains financial files (payment vouchers,journal vouchers etc) and the inventory or non-expendable items records
Maintains the petty cash float and ensures that adequate supporting documents are maintained,payments are adequately supported,valid,accurately computed,promptly paid and reconciled at the end of the month
Performs other relevant duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements: Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and complete financial and accounting records with an ability to understand,interpret and make sound,independent judgments within established regulations and procedures
Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Kiswahili
Good team player
Bachelor degree in Accounting,Advanced Diploma in Accounting or related field with at least three years relevant experience
A CPA (T) qualification is an advantage
