Pamoja na tamko hilo la Polisi, waandamanaji wamedai kuwa kila kitu kitaendelea na wanatarajiwa kuingia mtaani kuandamana kama walivyopanga.
Aidha, katika madai yake mengine kuelekea maandamano hayo, Odinga anadai aliibiwa kura katika uchaguzi wa Urais uliomuingiza madarakani Rais William Ruto Mwaka 2022

Kenya police ban cost-of-living protest by opposition
Kenya's police on Sunday banned the opposition from holding a protest over inflation, saying requests for the demonstrations were filed too late, but organisers vowed to go ahead with the rallies.
Raila Odinga, leader of the Azimio la Umoja party, had called for Monday's demonstration in Nairobi over soaring inflation, which in February reached 9.2 percent year-on-year in the East African nation.
Odinga also claims that last year's tight presidential election was "stolen" from him, denouncing the government of President William Ruto as "illegitimate".
Nairobi police chief Adamson Bungei said on Sunday that police received requests to hold two demonstrations only late on Saturday and early on Sunday, when normally three days' notice is required for public rallies.
"For public safety, neither has been granted," he said at a press conference in the capital.
Organisers had planned to march near the State House, the presidential palace.
"I want to underline some areas such as State House where we have heard people planning to invade or visit is covered by the laws of Kenya that it is a restricted area for unauthorised persons," Bungei said.
But Odinga vowed that the gathering would go ahead.
"I want Kenyans to come out in large numbers and show the displeasure of what is happening in our country," he told his supporters Sunday.
Ruto for his part warned that "you are not going to threaten us with ultimatums and chaos and impunity."
"We will not allow that," he said, calling on Odinga to act in a "legal and constitutional manner."
According to official results from the August presidential vote, Odinga lost to Ruto by around 233,000 votes, one of the closest margins in the country's history.
Odinga, who was running for the fifth time to lead the country, rejected the results, calling them fraudulent.
The Supreme Court has dismissed his appeals, with its judges giving a unanimous judgement in favour of Ruto, finding there was no evidence for Odinga's accusations.

DP Gachagua appeals to Raila to call off 'Maandamano' demos
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has urged Azimio leader Raila Odinga to call off protests, saying that the mayhem is bad for the economy and that Kenyans need to go back to work.
Mr. Gachagua said the protests were not good for business and economy.
"I am urging the Azimio leadership to call off the mayhem and chaos so that Kenyans can go back to work," the deputy president said in Mombasa where he oversaw the flagship food donation from Ukraine.
He added that President William Ruto's administration will do whatever it takes to protect lives and property, adding that so far, no lives have been lost in the Monday protest.
"In the meantime, Kenyans should ignore being incited into violence and destruction of properties. As it is, a number of businesspeople did not open shops due to fear of looters threatening businesses. So far, the country has lost billion today from these protests across the country," he said.

Ripoti ya Polisi imesema Mayange alikuwa mmoja wa Wanafunzi walioandamana na kuvamia 'Supermarket', baadaye Waandamanaji waliwazidi nguvu Polisi ambao waliishiwa mabomu ya machozi, ndipo risasi za moto zikarushwa ili kuwatawanya.
Ripoti hiyo imeeleza risasi ilimpata shingoni na alifariki baada ya kufikishwa Hospitali ya Coptic.
Maseno University Student Shot Dead During Azimio Protests In Kisumu
A Third Year student from Maseno University was on Monday shot dead by police during the nationwide anti-government protests by the Azimio coalition in Kisumu's Maseno area.
According to a police report on the incident, the deceased; William Mayange, was among a group of students who had joined the Azimio protests which later turned violent after the protesters invaded a supermarket in Maseno town.
The student was shot in the neck and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the Coptic hospital where he had been rushed.
Police say the students overpowered the security officers who had run out of teargas canisters.
As a result, police say the student was shot in the neck after the officers started firing live bullets to repulse the intruders who had allegedly invaded the supermarket.
Six police officers were also injured during the skirmishes where the students had also lit bonfires and barricaded the Kisumu-Busia highway before they began hurling stones at police.
