Kenyan Professor releases a book on Tanzania, ahead of Barack Obama visit

Ndo maana nasema yeye asijipe ujiko as if anajua sana Historia ya TZ kuliko Wanahistoria wetu!

It is good to see other people write about our country but we (Tanzanians) need to write about our own history, culture and geography. I think we know much better about ourselves than this Kenyan professor thus we can produce something very reliable, trustworthy and detailed. We must work up and start writing our history and culture to tell the the world who and what we are as a swahili saying goes "siri ya mtungi aijuae kata". The world can not go to makumbusho but it can see, buy and read written documents particularly books

Jikite kwenye mada.

Prof Otiso amefanya kile ambacho wasomi wetu wengi hawataki kukifanya. Waweza kujiita mtanzania ilihali historia ya nchi yako hauijui vilivyo hivyo basi wanaojifanya kuijua historia ya Tanzania simply because of their citizenship with due respect to them that is narrow thinking!!

The history of Tanzania cannot be as simple as his 250 pages book. To write our history especially if you are non Tanzanian you need enough resources (Time, money, people etc), if you dont have enough time or money then you will end up writing papers and not books like this guy did.

Same thought I had in my mind. There are a lot of questions to be answered about this Author. How come, someone who is not a Tanzanian, have such rich knowledge than we Tanzanians???. Where did he get that History?? Did he do a research?? or he read some books and made a collection??.

I am not convinced to like this book anyhow!.

Peleka ukenya wako huko,

Bora tu kufuga ng'ombe ili kujiongezea kipato.
