Hiring Production Supervisor
The long experienced, reputable and a highly successful food processing company based in - Dodoma, with a regional loyal and growing client base spanning a range of vertical market sectors. Both the company and their products are award winning and they cite consistent market awareness, expertise sourcing of high quality ingredients and product innovation as key to their success.
Based on a substantial recent investment in our facilities and the company’s ambitious growth plans, the company seeks to appoint and recruit a Production Supervisor to provide operational leadership and to actively contribute to our client’s corporate goals.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities includes:
• Liaising with other Manager, Directors and Investors to formulate objectives and understand company’s requirements
• Estimating costs and preparing mini production budgets
• Organizing workflow to meet company’s specifications and deadlines
Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to organize and oversee the manufacturing of varieties of food products. He / She will be ultimately responsible for the smooth running of all food production lines and the quality of the company’s output.
We expect him/her to have deep know-how in good manufacturing food production procedures (GMP). Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set him/her apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of his/her day. The goal is to ensure an efficient and good productive manufacturing process that meets customer requirements.
Core Responsibilities
•Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, workers etc.)
•Determine amount of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials etc.)
•Approve maintenance work, plans, and purchasing of equipment etc.
•Ensure output meets quality standards
•Enforce health and safety precautions
•Periodically report to the upper management
Requirements
•Proven experience as a production director
•Deep knowledge of food production management
•Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
•Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
•Experience in reporting on key production matrics
•Proficient in MS Office and related basic softwares
•Outstanding communication ability
•Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
•Attention to detail
•Strong decision-making skills and results/Outputs -driven approach
•Diplomas or BSc/Ba in Food science, Agric., Hospital Administration, Business Administration or relevant field/work experience will be considered.
Salary: Negotiable, according to experience and qualifications.
