How atcl can finance its revival

    The revival of airtanzania ,the country's national carrier is doomed even before the plan is excuted
    .the plan is doomed simply because somewhr those tasked with the responsibility to revive the airline lack technical know ho on how to raise funds to finance the cash -strapped national carrier

    secondly its a ddomed plan because its full of short cuts and lacks strong long term plans to make atcl hither to leading airlinr in the region,viable again at fifty yrs of independence ,tanzania still doesnt know how to finance airline,a situation that forced forced the govt to table the enacted procurement act,which among other things will allow the gvt to buy used things popular known as mitumba

    at a tim when a small countries like rwanda are securing loans from internation lenders to finance the purchase of state of the art aircraft ,tanzania is gunning for mitumba, ones,listening toa our lawmakers including hon minister omar nundu it was another show of this country has become notorious in poor planning especcially when where bussiness matters are concerned

    poor planing because there are dozens of financing options for atcl,but it seemed those tasked with responsibility have no idea about how they can secure enough funds to bailout our national carrirer

    this gvt during the budget it set aside usd 800million as allowance and per diem to various official,what if atcl was just given a starting capital of 20perc of this money means 160,usd millions enough to procure one brand new boeing 737-800 for regional routes plus two jets for domestic routes

    FORGET ABOUT TOUCHING THE NATIONAL BUDGET WHAT ABOUT BORROWING FROM INTERNAL SOURCES OF FUNDS ?IF WE CAN DARE TO FINANCE THE CONSTRUCTION OF UNIVERSITY OF DODOMA BY USING INTERNALLY BORROWED FUNDS WHY CANT WE DO FOR ATCL??
    OUR SPECIAL SECURITY FUNDS HAVE PROVED TO BE BEST OPTION FOR LONG TERM FINANCING COMPARED TO LOCAL BANKS,PROVIDED THE GVT IS THERE TO ACT AS GUARANTOR,ATCL COULD BORROW AT AN AFFORDABLE INTEREST RATE OF UP TO TEN PERC,THE LOWEST COMPARED TO 18 PER CHARGED BY COMMERCIAL BANKS IN THE COUNTRY
    IF THIS GVT WERE FULLY COMMITTED TO REVIVING THE AIRLINE ,IT WOULD HAVE RALLIED LENDERS FROM PENSION FUNDS UNDER SPECIAL AGREEMENT OF 10-15 PERC PER ANNUM,OUR PENSION FUNDS CAN GENERATE UP TO 500 USED MILLION THROUGH A SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT BASED ON COMMERCIAL TERMS ,AN AMMOUNT OF 500 USD MILLION IS ENOUGH CAPITAL FOR ATCL TO AGET THREE STATE OF THE ART AIRCRAFT BOEING OR AIRBVUS PLUS bLnce of 100 usd million as capital to start bussiness,,

    LAST BUT LEAST ATCL WOULD HAVE GONE RWANDA PATH BY APPROACHING INTERNATIONAL LENDERS ,THIS OPTION IS APPLICABLE TO MANY BUSSINES ORGANIZATIONS WORLDWIDE..

    IN VIEW OF THE IMPORTANCE OF ANY NATIONAL AIRLINE IN A GLOBALISED WORLD AS WELL AS AN EMERGING MARKET ESPECIALLY IN AFRICA AND ASIA ,ATCL NEEDS TO HAVE MORE THAN JUST A FAVOUR FROM THE GVT ,IF SMALL COUNTRY LIKE RWANDA CAN AFFORD TO ATTRACT FUNDING FROM INTERNATIONAL LENDERS BUY BRAND NEW AIRCRAFT WHY NOT TANZANIA??

    THE PROBLEM OF ATCL IS
    THE GVT IS FULL OF POLITICAL SKILLS THAN BUSSINESS SKILLS,IF AIRTANZANIA HAD BEEN ALLOWED TO USE CREDIBLE RECRUITMENT AGENCIES TO HIRE THE BEST MANAGEMENT IN THE COUNTRY OR ELSE WHR ARROUND THE GLOBAL IT WOULDNT HAVE BEEN LIMPING FOR NEARLY SIX YRS SINCE IT ENDED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH SOUTHAFRICA

    However all these options need a strong credible and visionary management which can lead to the revival of the airline as well as repaying the loans,once you have managed to revive the airline ,sell 30 perc stakes to tanzania through dar es salaam stokes exchange an another to a strategic foreign inves
