Indeed, CCM ceased to be a purposeful political movement when it abandoned its peasants/workers-centred ideology (Ujamaa) through the endorsement in 1991 of the undocumented elitist Zanzibar Declaration. Ever since, CCM has transformed itself into a Mafia-like gang of thugs only bent on clinging to power at any cost and resisting any change that could bring in more freedom, democracy and accountability.

The problem with CCM is that they don't analyse, they just shoot in the dark hoping to hit the target. So they keep missing the target. CCM attempt to break CUF through Hamad Rashid but failed miserably. The issue is not breaking CUF but rather giving people the leadership they want. CCM has failed to do this and therefore the people will look for an alternative. They should start by putting the CCM house in order. But they won't and so they will lose more and more voters and they will become more and more desperate and authoritarian. CCM Bara has entered the vicious cycle of self-destruction, like CCM Zanzibar and like KANU in the final Moi years. It is most unfortunate because a lot of Tanzanians will be hurt in the process.

This lady is very hopeless, I think she need the assistance, she doesn't know any thing with politics. Every party have its constitution and regulations which guide them with complying with the national constitution. The issue of CUF and other political parties is that they don't follow its constitution and regulations that is causing strikes and figisufigisu.
