Erling Haaland picked up where he left off last night but Manchester City were dealt an early-season blow with Kevin De Bruyne facing weeks out injured.
The Premier League golden boot winner netted a brace in the 3-0 win at Burnley either side of De Bruyne suffering a recurrence of the hamstring injury sustained during the Champions League final.
Pep Guardiola admitted that City's medical staff will need to sit down with their talisman to ascertain whether he requires serious attention.
'It depends on the magnitude of the injury but he will be out for a few weeks,' Guardiola said.
'He is down. We have to reflect, talk to the doctors, see what happened. He has to be relaxed, recover and come back.'
The Spanish boss hinted that it might be a recurrence of the injury that saw De Bruyne leave the field in Istanbul, adding: 'He said to me it's a problem in the same position as the Champions League.
'He recovered well but now we've lost him for a time. We have to reflect and talk to the doctors and the physios.
