Do you think all NBA teams should retire #23 in honor of Michael Jordan?

I think they should. The MLB did it with Jackie Robinson (#42) and the NHL did it with Wayne Gretzky (#99). Players who have the number currently (LeBron) should wear it though, but I think nobody in the future should wear #23.
The Miami Heat retired #23 even though Jordan had nothing to do with them.

I got the above piece from yahoo sports. So, do you think the NBA should retire number 23 in honor of Jordan? From the above writing you can see that other sports have done it & Miami Heat have already done it.

He did elevate the sport towards becoming a more global sport. Its a fact kwamba during Jordan ndiyo watu wa nchi zingine wakaanza kuwa interested na NBA na basketball kiujumla. Pia tokea aondoke Jordan the interest to the sport & the ratings are lower. He was also a very marketable player outside the U.S. in a level no other NBA player before him had achieved.

Hata individual teams zina weza zikawa na watu walio vaa namba fulani kabla. Kwa jinsi unavyo sema wewe basi hata team haitakiwi kustaafisha namba yake because yawezekana kuna wengine nyuma waliivaa namba hiyo. Na kama umesoma Miami Heat(which Jordan never had anything to do with) wameistaafisha #23 in his honor.

Maybe. Michael Jordan kwenye basketball ni kama Pele kwenye soccer or Muhammad Ali kwenye boxing. They took their games to new heights, and in case of MJ, he made basketball a global sport. Pity he semi-retired for two seasons (1993-4 and 1994-5) which enabled Hakeem to get 2 rings, otherwise MJ would have 8 of them. Anyway kudos to Hakeem as he took full advantage.

Note: LeBron chose no. 23 in his desire to be like Mike.
